Crunchyroll currently leads the competition in anime streaming, though other services like HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Hulu all offer anime as well. While HIDIVE has been a dedicated anime streamer since 2017 and previously held exclusive rights to some popular titles, a significant anime series recently moved from HIDIVE to Crunchyroll, marking a notable shift in the streaming landscape.
Oshi no Ko’s third season will arrive on Crunchyroll on January 14th, no longer remaining an exclusive series to HIDIVE. Alongside the new trailer, which you can check out above, the anime platform released a synopsis for the upcoming season, hinting at some wild adventures for Aqua, Akane, and this twisted world of idols. Here’s how the upcoming season is described: “The story enters a new stage. It’s been six months since “POP IN 2″ was released. Thanks to MEM-Cho’s hard work, B-Komachi is about to get their major break. Aqua is a multi-talented entertainer, and Akane’s career as a talented actress is going smoothly. Meanwhile, Kana lost the cheerfulness she once had. To track down the truth behind Ai and Goro’s deaths, Ruby keeps rising in the entertainment world… Using lies as a weapon.”
It all started with a single proposal.

Oshi no Ko’s Conclusion
Although a fourth season hasn’t been officially announced, the third season of Oshi no Ko is moving the anime closer to the ending of the original manga. The manga concluded last November and gained a dedicated fanbase thanks to its intense storyline. Doga Kobo is returning to animate the third season, having worked on the series from the start. The creator of Oshi no Ko, Aka Akasaka, is also known for the popular manga Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War, demonstrating their skill in crafting compelling stories.
When Oshi no Ko first came out, HIDIVE was the only place to stream it, and it quickly became their most popular show. But the anime proved to be too big for just one platform! Now, you can also find it on Hulu, and Crunchyroll will be streaming the third season. Even though Oshi no Ko isn’t exclusive to HIDIVE anymore, they still offer other popular shows like Call of The Night, Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon, Dark Gathering, The Eminence in Shadow, and Ragna Crimson.
