A remastered HD version, called WiZman’s World Re; Try, launches on February 19th for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. WiZMans World Makes Its Western Debut in New HD Remaster
Many excellent Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs) from the 2000s weren’t originally released in Western countries. However, with remasters and remakes becoming increasingly popular, Western players are now discovering these classic titles. WizMans World is a hidden gem and a cult favorite in Japan, known for its engaging dungeon exploration. This new remaster gives more gamers the opportunity to experience it.
WizMans World Re;Try updates the classic game with enhanced graphics and helpful new features, while still preserving the original retro feel and story that was first released in Japan. You play as Claus, a young wizard investigating the mysterious vanishing of his mentor. Your journey will take you through the city of Wizarest, exploring challenging dungeons and uncovering hidden secrets. The game features a charming retro style with beautiful pixel art. It offers classic turn-based battles that JRPG fans will enjoy. You’ll play alongside Claus, controlling magical companions he creates. These companions grow stronger by absorbing the essence of defeated monsters, gaining new skills, stats, and even changing their appearance. The decisions you make throughout the game will affect your companions, the story, and ultimately, how the game ends.
This updated version of the game includes a completely re-done soundtrack. It now supports players around the world with multiple language options, including English, Korean, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese for the first time. Players who enjoyed the original game can try New Game+ for a tougher experience. For many, though, this will be their first time playing this classic RPG.
