Today, on the 6th of August, 2024, the long-awaited collaboration between Fortnite and Fall Guys is finally here!

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest update for this game is nothing short of spectacular! The sheer number of changes and additions they’ve packed into it is truly impressive. From the new themed quests to complete, each one offering fresh challenges and rewards, to the stunningly crafted Fall Guys Islands by Mediatonic Labs – it’s like stepping into a whole new world within the game.

Apart from that, when you join the obstacle course, your Fortnite avatar will transform into a Fall Guys bean. They’ve really pulled out all the stops in this setup.

As a fellow game enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about the latest update to the popular multiplayer game, Fall Guys. Now, you have the opportunity to showcase your creative flair by designing and publishing your very own Fall Guys Islands!

Delve into the following text to learn about the modifications in today’s Fortnite upgrade, as well as peruse the complete patch notes for the Fall Guys collaboration.

What changes in the Fortnite update today (6th August)?

The collaboration between Fortnite and Fall Guys has begun, and it’s brimming with Beans! The title reads, “Navigating the Fall Guys Obstacle Course Among the Battle Royale Skies – Where Are We Landing?

Participate in the Where We Fallin’ obstacle course by locating a golden Bean Idol within the Classy Courts zone. Once you honor the Idol, you’ll be granted access to the obstacle course, transforming your character into a Fall Guys Bean!

As a long-time Fortnite enthusiast with countless hours spent on the battlefield, I can confidently say that it’s important to note that some of the original Fortnite outfits will translate their appearance onto the Bean character within the game. However, if your equipped Outfit is not one of the original Fortnite characters, your Bean will default to a pre-set design. Unfortunately, my fellow gamers, your Fall Guys costumes will not make the jump over to Fortnite. This information might affect how I approach character customization in these games moving forward!

As a devoted moviegoer diving into the world of Fall Guys, I’ve stumbled upon the “Where We Fallin'” missions, which essentially translate to exclusive rewards if you conquer them. One such reward is the coveted Pink Plushie Back Bling! However, be warned, each player can only embark on this mission once per Battle Royale round. Moreover, it’s vital to remember that you won’t be able to participate once the storm has engulfed the area where we’re falling.

In addition to the existing content, you’ll discover an additional six unique islands within this game. Three of these islands were developed by Mediatonic Labs (the creators of Fall Guys), while the remaining three are collaborative creations between Studio 568, Spiral House, and Mediatonic Labs.

Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of the patch notes.

Full patch notes for Fortnite and Fall Guys crossover

As a dedicated gamer who has spent countless hours playing both Fortnite and Fall Guys, I must say that I was absolutely thrilled when Epic Games announced their crossover update. The detailed patch notes they provided below have only heightened my anticipation for this exciting collaboration between two of my favorite games.

Where We Fallin’

  • In Battle Royale, Where We Fallin’ starts now. Find a golden Bean Idol, take on the floating obstacle course in the sky, and bring back loot to help you get a Victory Royale
  • To reach the obstacle course, you’ll need to track down one of several Bean Idols hidden in the Classy Courts area. We say they’re hidden, but they’re hard to miss. They’re tall. They’re shiny. They’re very… beany
  • Praise the golden Bean Idol in its shiny might and you’ll be challenged to a race against the clock as you’re transformed into a Fall Guys Bean and transported to the obstacle course in the sky!
  • Complete actions like running, mantling, diving, bouncing and more on this course to check off Where We Fallin’ Quests, rewarding you with Locker items like the Pink Plushie Back Bling
  • If you lose your footing and get knocked off the course, don’t worry! You’ll be teleported to the last checkpoint or the beginning of the course so you can continue your run

Legumes and Loot

  • You have three attempts to set a time per Battle Royale match, but you can only complete the course once per match
  • If you complete the course within the 120-second time limit, you’ll be awarded gameplay loot to help you with the rest of the match:
    • Complete the course in less than 50 seconds for Gold Tier loot
    • Complete the course between 50 and 80 seconds for Silver Tier loot
    • Complete the course between 80 and 120 seconds for Bronze Tier loot

Bean Bod

  • In the obstacle course, you’ll notice some changes to your appearance as your Fortnite Outfit morphs into a Fall Guys Bean!
  • How this Bean looks will depend on the Outfit you have equipped, and you’ll find bean-spoke looks for some of the most iconic Fortnite Outfits such as Brite Bomber, Fishstick and Jonesy the Secondst
  • Your Fall Guys Bean will return to its Fortnite version once you’re back on the Island!
  • Just a heads-up: If your equipped Outfit is not an original Fortnite character, your Bean will be a preset “default” Bean
  • And another heads-up: Costumes from Fall Guys don’t transfer over to Fortnite. The Bean look is only applied to your existing Fortnite Outfits!
