Fortnite introduced Dill Bits in February as a tongue-in-cheek jab at crypto, but it’s strictly for in-game purchases. Naturally, an anonymous crypto enthusiast decided to create their own version of the token on Solana, because the internet is a lawless land of chaos and questionable decisions.

This recent spike is peanuts compared to its previous surges. When the memecoin launched in February, it skyrocketed 4,500% to a market cap of $4.8 million. Then, on March 9, Fortnite released a video promoting its “Rugpull” storyline, and the token pumped over 4,000% in minutes. Because why not?

The underground Bitcoin mine in the game features banks of green servers with the Dill Bit logo, which is eerily similar to Bitcoin’s. Coincidence? Probably not. Fortnite’s developers clearly have a knack for trolling.

One player posted a YouTube video on April 1 showing all the secret locations on the map, explaining that destroying the servers might drop Dill Bits. Because nothing says “fun” like smashing virtual equipment in the hopes of scoring digital currency. 🎮
