Last April, the popular racing game “Forza Horizon 5” from Xbox’s lineup of first-party titles made its debut on PlayStation 5. While Microsoft didn’t disclose sales numbers, Harrison B., a game designer at Turn 10 Studios, shared on his LinkedIn profile that approximately two million copies were sold during the initial month.
According to Timur222’s tweet, the design of cross-platform features allowed Forza Horizon (PS5, 2025) to achieve significant success, selling over 2 million units within a month, exclusively on PS5. Although not yet officially verified, these sales numbers align with initial predictions. Analyst firm Alinea Analytics reported 1.4 million sales in its first week, an impressive feat given that it was only available for purchase for just two days in April.
In addition to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms, as well as Game Pass, you can find “Forza Horizon 5”. It’s possible that future developments for the franchise may involve a new game, possibly announced in the next year. However, a new “Forza Horizon” sequel appears to be more likely than a fresh “Forza Motorsport”. Unfortunately, recent layoffs at Turn 10 Studios have reportedly resulted in the cancellation of the “Motorsport” series.
