After a recent Xbox Developer Direct showcase, the release date for Forza Horizon 6 has finally been revealed.
The newest version of this popular racing game is going to be much bigger, and it will now include Japan.

When is the Forza Horizon 6 release date?
Forza Horizon 6 launches on 19th May 2026 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
However, players who purchase the Premium Edition will get early access, starting May 15th. You’ll find more details below.
This was all officially confirmed at the Xbox Developer Direct showcase on 22nd January 2026.

Can I pre-order Forza Horizon 6?
Yes, pre-orders for Forza Horizon 6 are now open on Xbox and PC.
PC players can purchase all three versions of the game directly from Steam.
Players on both Xbox and PC can buy the game through the Xbox store, where Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Editions are all available.
Is Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox Game Pass?
Forza Horizon 6 is coming to Xbox Game Pass, but there’s a catch.
Players on consoles will need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription – the priciest option – to play the game on its release day.
If you’re on PC, you’re in luck! You can play through the much more affordable PC Game Pass. And if you already have Game Pass Ultimate, that’ll work just fine too, so you don’t need to worry about getting a separate subscription.

Will Forza Horizon 6 be on PS5?
Forza Horizon 6 will be coming to PS5, but it will not be launching on the console.
Currently, Forza Horizon 6 will be released first on Xbox and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for later this year.
Currently, we only know the game is planned for release in 2026, so the exact date is still unknown. However, this is a much shorter wait than the four years we had to wait for Forza Horizon 5!
