Forza Horizon 6’s Premium Upgrade Bundle is Only $10 Less Than The Standard Edition

The new racing game, Forza Horizon 6, comes out on May 19th. Players who want to start early can buy the Premium Edition for $119.99. If you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can get an upgrade bundle for a lower price, but it still costs $59.99 – only $10 more than the standard version of the game.

Reddit users aren’t happy about this news, particularly because the premium add-on bundle for Forza Horizon 5 costs $49.99. When you add that to the recent price increase for Game Pass Ultimate – now $29.99 a month – it’s become significantly more expensive to play than it was in 2021.

The Premium Edition includes perks beyond just getting a four-day head start. You’ll also receive the Italian Passion Car Pack, a VIP Membership, a Welcome Pack, the Time Attack Car Pack, and the Car Pass, plus access to two future expansions. Keep in mind that the Italian Passion Car Pack and expansions won’t be available until after the game launches, and the expansions may come much later. The Car Pack adds 30 cars, but you’ll receive them one per week.

Ultimately, the Premium Edition becomes more affordable over time. However, even players intending to purchase it will face price hikes, especially outside the US. For instance, the Premium Edition in Australia costs AU$190, which is a significant AU$40 more than the Premium Edition for Forza Horizon 5.

Considering how large Tokyo is in the game, the new Collection Journal feature, and Playground Games’ efforts to authentically recreate Japan, Forza Horizon 6 is looking really promising. Thankfully, the standard version of the game isn’t priced at $80, which is a plus!
