Forza Horizon 6’s Prologue Packs Alps Racing, Togue Roads, J-Pop and Spectacle in New Gameplay

The opening sequence of any Forza Horizon game is crucial – it sets the tone and gives you a taste of the fun to come. Playground Games has now shared gameplay footage of the beginning of Forza Horizon 6, and it looks packed with amazing features.

The experience begins with a fast-paced drive through scenic landscapes in a 2024 Nissan GT-R Nismo, alongside a speeding bullet train, all set to the energetic sounds of Horizon Bass Arena with commentary from Scott Tyler. The action then shifts dramatically to the Alps, where you’ll take control of a 2021 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR Pro 4 Truck, performing impressive jumps and kicking up snow for an enthusiastic audience.

The next location featured Eurobeat music and cars reminiscent of the anime Initial D, but soon switched to J-Pop and put you behind the wheel of a 1995 Porsche 911 GT2. This demonstrated the new Togue race event, although I was disappointed by the lack of drifting. The Prologue ended as it should – with a drive to the Festival Site, this time in the 2025 GR GT Prototype.

That was just a taste of what’s coming in Forza Horizon 6, which releases on May 19th! You can explore the complete map of Japan now, or discover the artists who created the beautiful murals within the game. Keep an eye out for more details as previews become available later today.
