Michael Bay is a director famous for his large-scale, action-packed films. He’s known for quick editing, striking visuals, and especially, huge explosions. Some of his most popular movies include Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, and Pearl Harbor, which have earned over $6 billion at the box office worldwide. In April, four of these blockbuster films will be available to stream on Peacock, but you’ll need to look elsewhere to watch the fifth movie in the series.
Just in case you hadn’t figured it out, we’re talking about the Transformers movies! On April 1st, Transformers, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will all be available to stream on Peacock. These films have earned nearly $4 billion worldwide, proving to be huge hits with audiences.
Michael Bay’s Transformers Run Is a Fan Favorite (And the Franchise Isn’t Done Yet)

There have been seven live-action Transformers movies so far, and many fans prefer the first five directed by Michael Bay. The initial trilogy centers on Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his involvement with the Autobots’ fight against the Decepticons. The fourth film introduces Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), a single dad and inventor, who unexpectedly finds himself in the middle of the war when he realizes his new truck is actually Optimus Prime. Though Michael Bay finished the series with his fifth film, Transformers: The Last Knight, the franchise continued with Bumblebee in 2018 and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in 2023.
Although the last live-action Transformers movie came out three years ago, the series isn’t over. Last summer, news broke that Josh Cooley, who directed the animated film Transformers One, would also be directing a live-action Transformers movie. Michael Bay is reportedly returning to direct another film as well, but the current status of both projects is unknown. Paramount reportedly had five different Transformers projects in the works last summer, which is great news for fans.
What Else is Coming to Peacock in April?
As a movie buff, I’m really excited about what Peacock is offering in April! They’re adding a bunch of titles, including the first four Transformers films. But it’s not just robots in disguise – they’re bringing all three Blade movies, plus the first two Kung Fu Panda films. And if you’re into horror, get ready because both Five Nights at Freddy’s and the sequel are coming to the platform later in the month!
Peacock has a great lineup of shows coming up! On April 9th, you can start watching the new Peacock Original, The Miniature Wife. Then, on April 15th, Season 2 of Love Island: Beyond the Villa will premiere. For a complete list of what’s new on Peacock in April, click here.
