The upcoming prequel series of “Friday the 13th” titled “Crystal Lake,” streaming on Peacock, has cast its Jason Voorhees, but there’s an unexpected twist for some fans. This casting confirms that “Crystal Lake” will depict Jason as a child, a period before he transformed into the terrifying killer seen in the various “Friday the 13th” movies. The series will primarily focus on Pamela Voorhees, Jason’s mother (played by Linda Cardellini), rather than Jason himself.
Joining the cast for Jason Vinson’s newest horror production, Jason himself played Henry Collins across seven episodes of the series “Chucky.” His resume also includes roles in productions like “Dead Ringers” and “Oak.
