How to Watch Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2

The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll on January 16th at 7:00 AM Pacific Time. It will be available in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India. The initial release will be in Japanese with English subtitles. An English dub is planned, but it won’t be available right away; Crunchyroll intends to release it sometime in Winter 2026, though a specific date hasn’t been announced.

Tomoya Kitagawa will direct the second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, replacing Keiichiro Saito who directed the first season. Frieren Season 2 Is Winter 2026’s Biggest Anime Return

Everyone is eagerly awaiting the return of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End in Season 2, and it’s easy to understand why. The first season was a huge hit, and while Winter 2026 will have many popular anime returning, Frieren is particularly notable thanks to the success of its first season and the quality of studio Madhouse’s work.

I’ve been really enjoying Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. It started with Frieren embarking on a new adventure, a way to remember and honor the time she spent with her old hero companions. It’s been surprisingly moving! But it’s becoming clear this anime is building towards something much bigger. The world and characters are proving to be far more complex than I initially thought. If you haven’t already, you can find the first season on Crunchyroll.
