As a fan excitedly following the progress of “Your Friends & Neighbors” series, I’m delighted to share an update on the filming of season 2, hot on the heels of its premiere. The intriguing Apple TV+ production, with Jon Hamm brilliantly portraying Coop, a high-profile executive who resorts to petty theft after job loss, is now releasing fresh episodes. Even before its debut, the streaming platform announced that our beloved series had already been renewed for another season!
Currently, in an interview with Cinemablend, Tropper has shared that preparations for the filming of Your Friends & Neighbors season 2 are underway. The creator elaborated that they have already completed eight scripts and will be starting production “extremely soon.” He also disclosed some insights gained from season 1, particularly about its overall tone. Here’s what he had to say:
Our progress is significant; we’ve made great strides in that endeavor. So far, we’ve drafted eight scripts, and we plan to start filming very quickly, almost immediately. As for what we’ve learned, it seems essential to ensure the show’s tone remains balanced, carefully avoiding overly comedic or dramatic elements. We must maintain a delicate balance of comedic drama or dramatic comedy that prioritizes the characters above all else. During post-production, we discovered a few areas requiring minor adjustments in terms of tone, and this is something we will closely monitor moving forward.
