The city-building strategy game *Frostpunk 2*, originally released on PC last year, is now available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The console versions have a user interface designed specifically for controllers, and this same controller support has been added for PC players as well. You can watch the launch trailer below.
The updated interface lets you easily switch between similar districts using the shoulder buttons (bumpers). It also features a helpful, on-screen radial menu for managing your resources. Fans of the radial menu from the original *Frostpunk: Console Edition* will be happy to know it’s back in the sequel, improved and redesigned.
PC players will see several improvements, including a clearer view of homeless populations on the Heatmap and in the Main District. Characters can now get sick in addition to dying, but the chance of death has been lowered. Players can also expand their Stockpile capacity through research and improve heating by upgrading the generator.
You can find a detailed review of the original *Frostpunk 2* for PC on our site. The first paid expansion, *Aurora*, is scheduled to release in 2026.
