Futurama is back for a new season on Hulu, and the original voice actors are hoping it continues! This season is the strongest of the show’s recent revival, and the cast’s continued involvement – even after previous cancellations – is a remarkable achievement. They’re all very enthusiastic about the show’s future.
ComicBook recently spoke with several stars of *Futurama* – Billy West (the voice of Fry, Professor Farnsworth, and Zoidberg), Lauren Tom (Amy), and Phil Lamarr (Hermes) – about the show’s return. They all shared their enthusiasm about continuing with the series, and expressed hope for even more seasons beyond the already confirmed Season 14 on Hulu, as long as the show continues to be made.
Futurama’s Cast Hopes to See the Show Continue
I was listening to Billy West talk about *Futurama*, and he said he’s always optimistic about the possibility of another season. He’s definitely eager to come back if they decide to continue the show, but if not, he’s planning to travel the world – or what’s left of it, as he put it. Lauren Tom wholeheartedly agreed, practically begging fans to keep watching. Phil Lamarr felt the same way, and he pointed out that even with all the cancellations, people are *still* constantly asking him about the series – a real testament to how much it’s stuck with fans.
According to Lamarr, a lot of people genuinely love the show, and she hasn’t experienced that level of devotion with any other project. Fans often tell her they’ve watched every episode multiple times, even using it as a bedtime routine. Billy West shared that there’s a dedicated community who actually *use* the series to fall asleep, and it’s not because they’re bored – they find it incredibly comforting. Someone described it as a ‘comfort show’ people rely on.
Will Futurama Continue With a New Season?

Tom believes the show’s success comes down to its strong writing and a charming, innocent quality that’s remained consistent. He also credits the intelligent fanbase who appreciate the writing. Looking ahead, *Futurama* is set to return for a fourteenth season, likely next year, though Hulu hasn’t announced a specific release date yet.
Whether *Futurama* will continue past its current fourteenth season is still unknown. However, both fans and the cast have expressed a desire for more episodes, so there’s hope we’ll hear positive news soon.
