Gachiakuta Drops First Look at Episode 3 Following Surprise Delay

After an unforeseen setback, the release of “Gachiakuta” has resumed as scheduled, and we’re excitedly preparing for Episode 3. For years, followers have admired Kei Urana’s original “Gachiakuta” manga, eagerly waiting for its anime adaptation. This long-awaited dream came true this Summer, launching alongside the other fresh wave of Summer 2025 anime releases. The distinctive style and grimy atmosphere of “Gachiakuta” immediately captivated fans. However, there was a minor obstacle.

As an observer, I’ve been eagerly following the anime series called Gachiakuta. The initial two episodes had garnered tremendous response from fans, but unfortunately, there was a delay in the release of episode 3 due to Japan’s election coverage. However, the wait is finally over as the anime resumes its schedule this week! Now, Gachiakuta has unveiled a sneak peek into Episode 3, hinting at a thrilling encounter between Rudo and a brand-new, wild character. You can catch a glimpse of it in the special clip shared below.

When Does Gachiakuta Episode 3 Come Out?

In Japan on July 27th, Episode 3 of Gachiakuta will premiere. This episode will stream simultaneously on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan. A sneak peek suggests that the storyline involves Rudo encountering a fresh character called Zanka, who is revealed to be his new trainer. The synopsis hints that this individual, named Enjin, possesses the power to breathe life into objects and unleash their hidden abilities. This ability triggers Rudo’s own powers as a giver, leading him to join the Cleaners, a team dedicated to hunting monsters known as ‘trash beasts.’ Despite his initial reluctance, Rudo agrees to join them in the hopes of finding a way back to the Sphere he originated from. In this episode, Rudo clashes with Zanka, his newly appointed trainer.

In the initial episodes of its anime, Gachiakuta launched a grand new journey for its protagonist, Rudo. As it turned out, Rudo possessed an extraordinary power – the ability to manipulate matter, a skill freely used by inhabitants of the Pit. This revelation raised many questions about Rudo’s background, as he appears to be the only one from the upper world with this unique talent. What sets him apart even further is his seemingly versatile control over various types of objects using his power. From hereon, we will follow along as Rudo learns to master this ability and unravel the mysteries surrounding it.

How to Watch Gachiakuta

Now that the anime is back on schedule, it’s a great opportunity to get caught up with “Gachiakuta”. The new episodes will only be available on Crunchyroll, and they plan to release an English-dubbed version too. It has been confirmed that the first season of “Gachiakuta” will span over two consecutive “cours”, but the exact number of episodes is still undecided as of now. However, this means it will air during both the Summer and Fall 2025 anime seasons. Assuming there are no more delays, we’re looking at a busy second half of the year!

Fumihiko Suganama is helming the fresh “Gachiakuta” anime production at studio Bones, with Hiroshi Seko in charge of scriptwriting for the show, Satoshi Ishino handling character designs and assuming the role of chief animation director, and Taku Iwasaki creating the music. This project boasts a highly skilled team ensuring its successful realization.
