- Wuchang: Fallen Feathers – 112 votes (18%)
- Ready or Not – 100 votes (16%)

As a fellow gaming enthusiast, let me share some exciting news! If you haven’t noticed yet, the creators behind Ninja Gaiden: Rage, famously known as The Game Kitchen, are the same masterminds who brought us the captivating Blasphemous games. Given their past successes, it’s safe to say that the quality of this nostalgic revival was pretty much a given from the get-go!
Not only is it worthy of recognition, but the studio successfully created something truly exceptional. Ragebound skillfully combines the nostalgic charm of traditional side-scrolling games with a contemporary aesthetic, and let me tell you, it’s visually stunning as well!
In our Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound PS5 appraisal, we awarded it an impressive 8 out of 10, indicating that it effectively revives the series by showcasing a stunning return to its original aesthetics.
That’s it then! The game we’ve chosen as our monthly highlight for July 2025 is officially announced, and Ryu Hayabusa is thrilled to celebrate this victory with us.
And that’s the big news – the game selected as our Game of the Month for July 2025 has been declared! Ryu Hayabusa is ecstatic about this win.
If you found June to be a calm month, brace yourself as we take a look back at the PS5 games released in July!
To put it another way, July turned out to be quite packed with game releases, but if you were hoping for big blockbuster titles, there weren’t many. Instead, it was a great month for indie games, as numerous smaller productions competed for our focus.
Our recent releases, Anger Foot, The Wandering Village, Time Flies, and Wheel World, were met with favorable responses from critics. Each title presented a unique experience. The independent scene thrives on creativity.
As for those big-name games mentioned earlier, here’s my take: So, what about them? I’m particularly excited about July’s high-profile releases like the remastered Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 that I’ve been eagerly awaiting. And then there’s Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike game that has me intrigued.
Indeed, it was likely the most discussed launch of the month, yet tepid responses from both reviewers and gamers appear to have slowed down the hype surrounding Wuchang.
Instead, it’s evident that Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is widely appreciated. This side-scrolling action platformer masterfully blends the raw intensity of retro gaming with contemporary design elements, making it a game that many people enjoy effortlessly.
Apart from that, the game RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is definitely worth mentioning. It serves as a kind of self-contained sequel to the 2023’s action-packed and entertaining Rogue City. By the way, don’t forget about Ready or Not – an intense tactical shooter that gained popularity among those who enjoy more authentic military combat scenarios.
