Following the success of its first season, Alien: Earth is preparing for a second season, and Peter Dinklage, known for his role in Game of Thrones, is the first big name announced to join the cast.
Peter Dinklage, known for his role as Tyrion Lannister in the popular HBO show Game of Thrones, will be a main cast member in the next season of Noah Hawley’s science fiction series.
We don’t yet know what role Peter Dinklage will play, but filming is scheduled to start next month at Pinewood Studios, and we might learn more details around that time.
Taking place two years before the original Alien movie, this series follows a group of children with life-threatening illnesses. Their minds are transferred into new, adult-like artificial bodies, and they must then confront a major danger facing the planet.

The first season of Alien: Earth featured a talented cast including Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, and Chandler, alongside Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
As a huge fan of the show, I was thrilled to hear it was renewed for a second season! FX’s John Landgraf put out a statement saying how much they’ve enjoyed working with Noah Hawley – they’ve collaborated on some of FX’s biggest hits over the last decade, and they’re excited to keep that partnership going. It’s great to know they believe in the show as much as we do!
Noah consistently delivers fresh and imaginative stories. What sets him apart is his talent for not only writing these stories, but also directing and producing them, bringing them to life in a truly captivating way.
We’re thrilled to start working on the next season of Alien: Earth, and we have some other really promising projects in the works too.
You can now watch the movie Alien on Disney+. A subscription to Disney+ costs £4.99 per month or £89.90 for a year.
