ITV has unveiled a teaser clip of brand new celebrity game show The Box – and TopMob has an exclusive first look!
The new show, hosted by well-known presenter Gary Lineker, was revealed last August and features ten famous faces who will be facing unexpected challenges.
The show will see the famous faces enclosed in yellow boxes and transported to mystery locations across the country. They will then face a series of “surprising and unpredictable challenges, ranging from the physical and mental to the logical – often with no instruction”.
The exclusive clip offers a closer look at each celebrity and Lineker as host, who tells them: “You can forget World Cup penalty shootouts, this is way tenser!”

While briefly shown in the clip, The Box has a star-studded line-up which includes entrepreneur Sara Davies, football icon Graeme Souness, comedian Ellie Taylor, politician John Bercow, broadcaster Ranvir Singh, Love Island: The Debrief host Shakira Khan, pop star JB Gill, Chaser Jenny Ryan, YouTuber Danny Aarons and TV personality Joey Essex.
And the stakes are high! Throughout the game, the contestants must work out their surroundings and figure out how to avoid elimination because at the end of each episode, two players will battle it out in The Duel – a head-to-head game that determines who stays and who goes.
“From my experience, the most successful teams are built on a mix of strengths and abilities, and that’s exactly what we’ve got with this line-up,” said Lineker in a statement. “I’m excited to be on the sideline with a front row seat to see all the action unfold!”
ITV’s director of entertainment, reality and daytime commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, commented at the time: “We’re delighted to welcome this impressive line-up of celebrities to The Box.
“They will each bring a unique perspective and approach to the varying challenges they will face, and observing how they react will make for incredibly entertaining viewing for our audiences.”
