Mathew Horne, known for his role in Gavin & Stacey, has shared that he’s collaborating on a secret project with Catherine Tate.
Actor Peter Horne, known for playing multiple characters on the popular comedy show The Catherine Tate Show (2004-2007) and reprising his role as Jamie in The Nan Movie (2022), shared these thoughts while participating in a spotlight session at MCM Birmingham Comic Con on Saturday, November 29th.
He described working with Catherine as fantastic, and hinted at a future project, saying, ‘I saw her last week, and we’re planning something for next Christmas.’
Horne didn’t share any specifics about the project right now, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we learn more.
Horne also talked about how much of an impact Gavin and Stacey had, noting it’s been almost a year since the Christmas special that ended the popular show.
Honestly, watching him talk about the show was incredibly moving. He shared that it wasn’t just a job, but something that fundamentally shaped his life and career. He really emphasized how grateful he was – he truly felt blessed to have been a part of it, and you could feel that sincerity. It was a powerful moment.
Comic Con this weekend will feature a variety of special guests, including voice actor Charles Martinet (Mario), Jamie Campbell Bower from Stranger Things, Christine Marie Cabanos and Mela Lee of Demon Slayer, and X-Men’s James McAvoy, among others.
Besides returning as his character in last year’s Gavin and Stacey special, James Horne recently acted on stage in a West End production of The Tempest, where he played Trinculo. Notably, Sigourney Weaver, famous for her role in Alien, played the lead role in the play.
