The new trailer features Stephen Moyer, known from True Blood, as DI Mick Palmer, a detective who appreciates art and works with the Heritage Crime Unit. We also meet his direct and honest partner, DC Shazia Malik, played by Nina Singh from Virdee.
The series also includes appearances by Sarah Alexander, known from “Green Wing,” and Larry Lamb, famous for his role in “Gavin & Stacey.” Both actors have supporting parts.

Art Detectives will premiere on U&DRAMA on Thursday, October 30th. All episodes will also be available to stream on U from the same day.
This series centers on Mick and Shazia, who investigate murders linked to the art and antiques world – everything from classic paintings and ancient texts to modern street art and valuable records.

Each episode of the series centers on Mick and Shazia as they deal with a world full of intense desires and motivations like greed, obsession, lust, and revenge.
As a total movie buff, I was hooked from the start! This season throws so many incredible objects at our detectives – a convincing fake Vermeer painting, actual Viking gold, a seriously rare Chinese vase, and even artifacts salvaged from the Titanic. It’s a treasure hunter’s dream!

Mick juggles difficult cases alongside a new relationship with museum curator Rosa (Alexander) and the unexpected return of his charming father, Ron (Lamb), a well-known art forger in Britain.
As a big TV fan, I was thrilled to see Larry Lamb back as Mick Shipman for the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special! And earlier this year, I really enjoyed him in Channel 5’s drama, *The Feud*, alongside Jill Halfpenny and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell – a great cast all around.
