With announcements from Gamescom and numerous new releases upcoming next week, The Coalition’s “Gears of War: Reloaded” has now been launched for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and notably, for the first time in the series, PS5. This marks a substantial achievement for the franchise, as it arrives nearly 20 years after the initial game was introduced.
In an enhancement or improved version, titled “Reloaded“, you’ll find all content from “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition“, which encompasses multiple player maps, a variety of characters, and additional downloadable content. The most significant improvements are as follows: it supports high-resolution 4K visuals with updated textures, offers a campaign running at 60 frames per second without any loading screens, delivers 120 frames per second in multiplayer, and facilitates cross-platform gameplay.
For users logging in with a Microsoft account, cross-progression has been made available as well. Feel free to peruse our review on the game to see if it’s a worthy investment for you.
The upcoming game in the series titled “Gears of War: E-Day” is scheduled to release next year on both PC and Xbox Series X/S. This prequel revolves around Marcus Fenix and Dom, set after the Pendulum Wars, during which the Locust first appeared and caused destruction among humans.
