Even though the last season of The Boys isn’t out yet, fans can still enjoy the show’s world thanks to the second season of the spin-off, Gen V, which has just begun.

The latest episodes follow Marie, Emma, and Jordan after they’re released from Vought’s captivity. They return to Godolkin University, but their reunion with Cate and Sam isn’t a pleasant one.

The new season introduces Dean Cipher, played by Hamish Linklater, who claims to help students maximize their powers in Homelander’s America. Ethan Slater is one of the new cast members, and several actors from previous seasons will make guest appearances.

This season addresses the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, whose character, Andre, is established to have died between the previous and current seasons, off-screen.

Gen V season 2 episode 4 will be released on Wednesday 24th September on Prime Video.

The episode is titled Bags and is written by Brant Englestein and Chris Dingess.

Following the typical release strategy for Prime Video series, the first three episodes of Gen V season 2 became available all at once on Wednesday, September 17th.

What is Gen V season 2 about?

Season 2 of Gen V continues the story after the events of The Boys season 4, and will set the stage for the final season of The Boys, which is anticipated in 2026.

Season two of Gen V starts with students returning to Godolkin University. While the country deals with Homelander’s control, a new, enigmatic Dean at the university introduces a program designed to help students reach their full potential and become incredibly powerful.

Cate and Sam are hailed as heroes, but Marie, Jordan, and Emma are struggling to readjust to college life after experiencing months of hardship and loss. With a conflict escalating between humans and those with superpowers – both at school and beyond – it’s hard for them to focus on classes or social events.

The group discovers a hidden program dating back to the very beginning of Godolkin University, and it seems to be more significant than they initially thought. Surprisingly, Marie is connected to it somehow.
