Today, Genshin Impact enthusiasts were given a sneak peek into the upcoming content with Version 5.8. The upcoming storyline is named Sunspray Summer Resort, and it promises a tranquil summer getaway ambiance. During the Special Program, we got a glimpse of new characters, fresh story chapters, and live events for the impending major update. In addition, fans were treated to several voice clips from the new Paimon voice actor, as well as a look at an entirely new resort map. As usual, the Genshin Impact special program included some free codes for players to redeem.
On July 18th at 8 AM EDT, the Live YouTube broadcast of the Version 5.8 Special Program for “Genshin Impact” took place. The program kicked off with a lengthy sneak peek into the new storyline for this latest update, promising an intense experience. During the stream, viewers got a glimpse of the new character Ineffa, a humanoid machine character shrouded in mystery. She also introduces a new Lunar-Charged reaction skill that promises to add complexity to combat. Contrasting with the summer-themed map and events which have a brighter, more cheerful atmosphere, Ineffa’s storyline seems more serious. These upcoming events will see the return of Benny as well.
Today’s live stream unveiled not only the game content but also exciting details about a real-life exhibit! The Teyvat Expo: Genshin Impact Art Exhibition is coming to Paris from September 13th to the 21st. This event will showcase an extensive collection of character sketches, early scene concepts, monster designs, and much more from the game’s creative archives. Moreover, they reminded fans about the upcoming HoYo Fest celebration. In 2021, this annual event will include both online activities as well as in-person scheduling, so stay tuned for further updates.
