We at Windows Central—and especially my colleague Jez Corden—were completely blown away by this game. Its unsettling sci-fi world and intense, frantic combat against truly repulsive creatures made for an incredibly enjoyable experience.

The game’s beautiful, detailed visuals and eerie style fully drew us into its post-apocalyptic world, which felt like a classic 80s horror movie. Smooth performance at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second made the experience even more captivating.
The game’s combat was consistently stressful because weapons and ammunition were scarce. You had to carefully manage your resources to avoid being defeated by the monsters.
Once you get the hang of it, fighting can be really rewarding. Successfully managing your supplies and landing accurate hits on a monster’s weak points feels great—but that feeling quickly disappears when you turn a corner and face even more dangerous enemies.
