In the past two and a half years since the truth about Dan’s death in “Am I Being Unreasonable?” was revealed, there has been eager anticipation. Now, the wait is over as the much-loved comedy thriller series is returning, with an official release date confirmed.
The second installment is set to debut on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9:30 PM on Wednesday, February 5th. So, the wait won’t be much longer!
The summary for season 2 hints that it picks up right from the cliffhanger of season 1, during a tense moment of a panic attack. It also brings up the question of whether Daisy May Cooper’s character, Nic, has successfully escaped the consequences of committing murder. Moreover, it raises doubts about whether she is raising her son Ollie in the same questionable manner as herself.
The summary proceeds: “Nic, having been ousted from the family home due to a sibling’s affection misplaced on the incorrect brother, now resides in a caravan alongside her less reliable confidante, Jen.
Dan, Nic’s spouse, recently started roller-blading as a means to cope with his midlife struggles. Feeling ostracized at the school drop-off and typecast as a witch in the school play, Nic has been experiencing vivid imaginations. It’s hard to tell if it’s her imagination or someone is pranking her.
In the second installment of this captivating series, I find myself rejoining forces with my esteemed co-creator Cooper and our talented co-star Selin Hizli, along with familiar faces like Lenny Rush and Dustin Demri-Burns. However, it’s the season 2 guest cast that has everyone abuzz!
Season 2 offers an exciting lineup of popular stars as guests, including Chelsea Peretti, Tom Davis, Denise Black, Jamali Maddix, and Kojey Radical, plus it brings back the duo from “This Country” for their reunion.
In the upcoming episodes, it’s been announced that Cooper’s actual sibling and collaborator in the creation and acting of the show, Charlie Cooper, is expected to appear – with specific details about his character still undisclosed.
In its inaugural season, the show bagged three Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards and was up for three British Academy Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards. Among these recognitions, Iwan Rheon (Rush) clinched a BAFTA award for his exceptional portrayal of Ollie.
