Katherine Schwarzenegger shared a set of photos showcasing her family day out on Cape Cod’s waters on August 22. In attendance were her mother Maria Shriver, uncle Anthony Shriver, husband Chris Pratt, and brother Christopher Schwarzenegger.

The crystal-clear waters appeared to be less captivating than the progress of young Christopher, who has been documenting his weight loss journey.

“I embarked on my weight-loss journey in 2019 when I was residing in Australia,” Christopher revealed at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in May. “I had made a big plan, like ‘I’m going to explore Australia,’ but found that my weight was limiting my daily activities.”

On different occasions, his body insecurities would burden him significantly. For instance, during my high school years, while working on meal deliveries, I often felt out of place carrying unconventional lunches to school, as if it marked me as a misfit. It wasn’t an immediate transformation, but rather a gradual process involving many attempts and errors. And even now, when I compare my past to present self in ‘before and after’ images, I don’t feel completely transformed yet.

Despite his previous weight, he’s still very proud of his transformation – a change that came about when he decided to give up bread during Lent and lost an impressive 30 pounds. His father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is equally impressed with his resilience. In June, the Terminator star told The Sunday Times, “I never had to tell him he was overweight. We gradually introduced healthier foods into his diet and encouraged regular exercise at the gym. Surprisingly, he decided on his own that he wanted to become lean. And now he is! It’s fantastic to see his self-discipline and motivation. I always knew it would come from him, and it did.

In 2025, he told The Sunday Times that despite people saying he only got a role because of his father’s influence, they are unaware of the ten years of acting classes, school plays, character development, and countless rejected auditions he endured.
