Sucker Punch Productions announced a significant new feature is coming to their open-world game, Ghost of Yotei, in an update releasing soon. Since the game launched in October, updates have mainly focused on fixing bugs and issues. This new patch, arriving on PlayStation 5 in just a few days, will be the first to add completely new content to the game.
Sucker Punch announced on the PlayStation Blog that a New Game+ mode is coming to Ghost of Yotei on November 24th. This will allow players who have finished the game to start a new playthrough with all their previously unlocked weapons and gear. Along with New Game+, two more challenging difficulty levels are being added, as well as new trophies. The update also includes 30 new cosmetic items, 10 new charms, and the ability to further upgrade armor and weapons.
Although New Game+ is the biggest addition to Ghost of Yotei so far, Sucker Punch is already planning more improvements, starting with updates rolling out soon. An update next week will let players replay missions after finishing the story, making it simple to revisit beloved moments. New accessibility features and options for Photo Mode are also in development, though these won’t be included in the next update – they’re expected to arrive in Ghost of Yotei before the end of 2025.
Players can look forward to even more content for Ghost of Yotei in 2026 with the addition of a new co-op mode called Legends. This mode proved very popular in Ghost of Tsushima, and Sucker Punch plans to bring it to Ghost of Yotei as well. While an exact release date for Ghost of Yotei: Legends hasn’t been announced yet, more details are expected in the coming weeks or months.
