At the game’s release, the Ghost of Yotei will offer a Japanese dub as an option, complete with synchronized speech. This confirmation comes from developers Sucker Punch.
In the original version of Ghost of Tsushima, the Japanese voiceovers weren’t synchronized with character models until the Director’s Cut came out on PS5. This decision garnered some criticism, but now, it’s satisfying to see that the setting is polished and ready for action at launch.
Similar to its forerunner, Ghost of Yotei honors the essence of samurai films. Consequently, many enthusiasts might prefer immersing themselves in the original Japanese dialogue (accompanied by subtitles in your preferred language).
Speaking frankly, we’ve enjoyed playing Ghost of Tsushima in both the English and Japanese versions, and both have exceptional voiceovers. We can only hope that Yotei’s performance will be equally impressive.
