In a fresh twist, the creators behind Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch, are extending the immersive Kurosawa Mode by introducing an innovative expansion called Ghost of Yotei, offering unique gameplay experiences.
Initially, the previously mentioned Kurosawa Mode is back, enabling gameplay in monochrome, enhanced with stronger wind impacts and atmospheric noises reminiscent of a tribute to one of the greatest Japanese filmmakers.
Afterward, we introduce Miike Mode, a collaboration with action-packed director Takashi Miike. This setting brings the camera closer to the main character, Atsu, during battle, while significantly increasing the splatter of mud and blood. Such intense visuals would surely impress Miike himself.

Next up is a fantastic surprise: the Watanabe Mode! This feature allows you to enjoy Ghost of Yotei with music tracks in lo-fi style, produced personally by Shinichirō Watanabe – renowned director behind legendary anime series like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. As a hint, the influence from the latter is quite apparent, even without the name suggesting it.
Are you planning to experiment with different game modes in Ghost of Yotei, or are you going to go with the standard experience during your initial playthrough? Feel free to relax and share some peaceful tunes you’re listening to in the comments section below.
