Ghost Of Yotei Guide – How To Get All 5 Melee, 3 Ranged, And 7 Quickfire Weapons

In *Ghost of Yotei*, Atsu has access to many weapons beyond her katana. Players can find and use a variety of options, including close-combat weapons, early guns, and simple grenades.

This *Ghost of Yotei* guide details every weapon Atsu can find in the game, categorized by melee, ranged, and quickfire types.

Melee

Wolf Blade Katana

Most effectively used against single-wielded Katanas.

Default starting weapon.

Dual Katana

Most effectively used against Polearms such as Yari or Naginata.

Complete “Way Of The Dual Katana” and learn under Master Hanbei.

Odachi

Most effectively used against Brutes.

Finish the “Way Of The Odachi” questline while playing through “The Saito Brothers” and train with Master Yoshida.

Yari

Most effectively used against Sickles such as Dual Katana or Kusarigama.

Complete “Way Of The Yari” over the course of “The Oni” and learn under Sensei Takahashi.

Kusarigama

Most effectively used against Shields.

Complete “Way Of The Kusarigama” over the course of “The Kitsune” and learn under Master Enomoto.

Acquiring all Melee weapons will earn you the trophy/achievement “Tools Of A Warrior”.

Ranged

Hankyu

This bow is a medium-range weapon that allows for quick shots. It’s especially useful when shooting from the air, particularly if combined with specific skills and magical enhancements.

Finish the “Old Inn” quest to unlock Ran The Bowyer, a merchant at Yotei’s Shadow Inn. She sells the Hankyu for 300 Coins.

Yumi

This powerful longbow is best for long-distance shots. While it takes longer to draw back, it has greater range and can even pierce helmets, making it ideal for sniping enemies from a distance.

Finish the “Old Inn” quest to unlock Ran The Bowyer, a merchant at Yotei’s Shadow Inn. He sells the Yumi bow for 2000 Coins.

Tanegashima

This weapon fires slowly, but its bullets pack a powerful punch and are designed to pierce through targets.

During “The Storm Breaks” over the course of “The Saito Brothers”.

Acquiring all Ranged weapons will earn you the trophy/achievement “Take Aim”.

Quickfire

Kunai

Throwing knives that come in handy with assassination techniques.

You can find Hana, the Kunai Artisan—the merchant who sells Kunai—by progressing through “The Kitsune” event during “The Winter Farms” period.

Metsubushi

The Metsubushi is a tactical tool, like a ninja’s flashbang. It’s a powder that, when thrown, creates a blinding cloud to disorient enemies.

Defeat the bounty boss Crow Genzo in combat.

Scorch Bomb

Scorch Bombs are like grenades and work best when thrown at groups of enemies to deal damage over a wide area.

So, I finally finished “The Bomb Maker” quest, and it unlocked Ina, this awesome merchant! She’s the one who sells Scorch Bombs, which are seriously useful, so it was totally worth doing.

Blind Bomb

Okay, so Blind Bombs are basically like flashbangs, but better. They’re an upgrade from the Metsubishi – I can throw them further, and they really mess with my opponents, totally disorienting them. It’s a huge help when I’m pushing an objective or trying to escape!

Finish the quest “Fight Fire With Fire” for Ina, a merchant who sells Blind Bombs.

Oni Flame

Cover your melee weapon in Oni Flame to ignite it, making your attacks deal fire damage and become unblockable. This will also set your enemies on fire.

Complete “Twin Wolves, Twin Hearts” over the course of “The Oni”.

Smoke Bomb

Make a ninja-esque escape by deploying these enemy vision-obscuring bombs.

Finish the questline “Poison And Lies” while playing through “The Kitsune” to unlock Oyuki, who sells Smoke Bombs.

Tanzutsu

A single-shot ranged sidearm for rapid deployment in emergencies.

Complete “Guns and Consequences” over the course of “The Saito Brothers”.

Acquiring all Quickfire weapons will earn you the trophy/achievement “Quick Draw”.

Those are all of the weapons for Atsu to discover and use in Ghost of Yotei.
