During recent interviews, Sucker Punch Productions shared some insights on their upcoming game, Ghost of Yōtei. They mentioned that, like its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, the length of the story is approximately 25 hours. However, they hinted at a wider range of activities in the sequel. But, how much more will it resemble the original game in terms of duration?
According to Jason Connell, one of the co-directors, they planned the game with a sense of familiarity regarding its size and complexity, drawing from their previous project. This approach turned out to be rewarding for them, offering a solid foundation for development.
Although the exact volume of extra content isn’t yet clear, Connell suggests that playing Ghost of Yōtei will require approximately the same amount of time as playing Tsushima. Essentially, whether you prefer to swiftly complete the story, leisurely explore the entire world, or are a dedicated platinum trophy collector, we anticipate that the time commitment for Ghost of Yōtei will be roughly comparable to that of Tsushima.
Based on the estimated completion time provided by HowLongToBeat for Ghost of Tsushima, it could take approximately 62 hours to finish the main game. However, this time does not account for the Legends mode or the Iki Island expansion.
The “Ghost of Yōtei” game is set to release on October 2nd for PS5. The storyline centers around tracking down and defeating the members of the Yōtei Six. But there’s more to this game than just that! You can participate in various activities like Bamboo Strikes, coin games, and drinking games, adding a touch of tradition to your experience. In addition, protagonist Atsu can follow up on leads for upgrades and accept bounties for financial rewards.
Explore the details of our new feature, which includes updates on combat and the mechanics of camping, serving as a starting point for constructing Atsu’s Wolf Pack.
