Despite Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima still being visually stunning, even after its release on PS5, Ghost of Yōtei takes it a step further. During an interview with VGC, co-director Nate Fox disclosed that the sequel is specifically designed for the PS5 and will offer rapid load times along with compatibility with DualSense technology.
The PlayStation 5 undeniably boasts impressive hardware, but the true standout for me is its controller. I’m smitten with the haptics it offers and the innovative way the touchpad functions. The game ‘Ghost of Yōtei’ has been specifically designed to make full use of the PlayStation 5’s capabilities, delivering rapid load times, and allowing players to fully exploit the potential of the DualSense controller.
Pondering over the swift load times in the game ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, it’s intriguing to imagine how Yōtei might surpass this performance. Yet, Fox openly states that the console’s hardware and capabilities are essential for the creation of its sequel, making it impossible without them.
