Fortunately, the immersive worlds created by PlayStation have a knack for swallowing up my time, and I found myself investing 60 hours into Death Stranding 2 before even finishing the story! There’s still plenty left to explore. Excitingly, it appears that PlayStation has another game scheduled for release this year, keeping us all well-entertained. The buzz around Ghost of Yotei is growing, and with that, we’re getting tantalizing glimpses into the upcoming PS5 exclusive.
How Long is Ghost of Yotei?
In a chat with VGC, the creative director of Ghost of Yotei, Jason Connell, shared some insights about the game’s content. He confirmed that the main story of Ghost of Yotei is approximately 25 hours long, similar to the original game. To match the scope and scale of Ghost of Tsushima, they are aiming to create a comprehensive gaming experience. This suggests that completing all aspects of the game might take about 50 hours. Hopefully, this will keep players engaged, and there might be additional content in the form of DLC, similar to the meaty expansion released for Ghost of Tsushima in 2021, which added new story elements to the game. This could potentially extend the lifespan of Ghost of Yotei as well.
The spirit of Yotei is likely to boast a broader, open-world experience compared to its previous version. This means that even after completing every mission within the game, there’s still plenty to discover through casual exploration and engaging in various side activities. A glimpse into the game during the latest State of Play revealed that players can cook fish, hinting at the possibility of fishing for food and then preparing it at your personal campsite.
