This special edition takes its inspiration from the traditional Japanese art form, Sumi-e, characterized by using black ink in paintings. It depicts the landmarks of Ezo with powerful, black brush strokes, reflecting both the land’s beauty and mystery, as well as Atsu’s internal battle and his path towards redemption.

We’re thrilled to showcase these exceptional designs, a collaborative effort between our teams at Sucker Punch and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Sucker Punch has graciously explained their choice to explore these distinctive artistic directions.
According to Jason Connell, the creative director of Ghost of Yotei, our design concept was directly influenced by a fundamental feature of the game: an intense emphasis on exploration. This is reflected in various ways, such as the hand-drawn icons that Atsu uses on her map, the kintsugi-inspired effect derived from her Ghost mask, and brushstrokes mimicking her Sumi-e artwork. To tie it all together, we’ve placed Mount Yotei prominently at the center of the console design, and Atsu is highlighted on the DualSense controller. Each element was carefully integrated into both the console and controller designs.
The Limited Edition Bundle for the Ghost of Yotei on PlayStation 5 comes with:
1. A limited edition version of the PlayStation 5 console (with disc drive)
2. A DualSense wireless controller to match
3. A digital copy of the standard edition of Ghost of Yotei, which includes bonus content available for pre-order
