CBS is adding new characters to season 5 of the hit comedy Ghosts, introducing friends from Patience’s past. The show is currently on a mid-season break and won’t return to TV for several weeks. Fans are still waiting to see what happens after the cliffhanger ending of episode 10, which hinted at the arrival of mysterious figures known as “The Others.”
Throughout the show, viewers have caught glimpses of Patience’s friends, hinting at their eventual appearance. But due to other storylines focusing on the main ghosts at Woodstone Mansion, their introduction kept getting delayed. Now, that’s finally changing – Sam and Jay are about to deal with four new ghosts joining an already crowded house!
New photos have been released offering a sneak peek at season 5, episode 11 of CBS’s Ghosts (via TVInsider). The episode, titled “The Others,” will feature the return of Bruce (Will Greenberg), Flower’s former cult leader, and shows him seemingly in charge of the ghost crew. You can see the photos below.
We don’t yet know exactly how Patience connected with the spirits from Flower’s time, but they’re clearly important to her. She’s using her connection with them to build a relationship with Trevor. Initially, people worried these spirits – known as “The Others” – might be similar to Patience in personality, but their connection to Flower suggests they’re likely more playful and carefree.
As a huge fan of Ghosts, I’ve been thinking about those new spirits at Woodstone Mansion. It seems the rules of the house mean they all probably died there too, which means they’re stuck around with the rest of the gang! Unless the writers decide to change things or find a way to bring in more spirits, I expect we’ll be seeing them interacting with Sam, Jay, and the others. The show’s been good at bringing in supporting ghosts like Nigel and Bjorn every now and then, but I’m really curious to see how they’ll juggle four new characters, especially since they seem to be a tight-knit group. It’s definitely an interesting challenge for the writers!
Season 5 of Ghosts has been remarkably creative with its storylines. It’s rare for a show that’s been on for so long to continue offering fresh and surprising ideas. The introduction of “The Others” promises to be a game-changer at Woodstone Mansion, and it will be fascinating to see how their arrival affects Flower and Trevor’s individual journeys.
