The story unfolds 65 million years from now on Earth, where perpetual winter, or “Everwinter,” has frozen over the entire planet’s surface into one massive ice sheet. Life persists beneath the glaciers that cover the oceans.
In a world bathed by glacier-born skies, vibrant and luminescent marine life illuminate the ocean floor. A novel species flourishes in this era of abundant life, they are the Tuai – descendants of avian ancestors and dinosaur successors. Their advanced intellect and distinctive metabolism, honed over countless millennia, ensure their survival in this frozen realm. As long as the Everwinter endures, so will the grand Ice Age that sustains this rich ecosystem.
