The popular show Gladiators is coming back to television soon, and it won’t be long before the iconic strongmen and women compete against everyday people in thrilling challenges.
The show is back on Saturday, January 17th at 5:45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and fans have a lot to look forward to!
Get ready for a superhero reunion this Saturday night! Apollo, Athena, Bionic, Comet, Cyclone, Diamond, Dynamite, Electro, Fire, Fury, Giant, Hammer, Legend, Nitro, Phantom, Sabre, Steel, and Viper are all coming back. The BBC has hinted at classic funny lines from Legend, some fiery outbursts from Viper, and a serious talking-to from Mark Clattenburg.
Bradley and Barney Walsh are back to host as a new group of brave challengers compete against the Gladiators in five exhausting challenges.

A massive challenge begins for Giant, Legend feels overlooked, and a new, incredibly destructive event unfolds.
The reboot of Gladiators has been a massive hit since it returned in 2024. The first episode drew the largest audience for a brand new entertainment show in seven years, surpassing the launch of Let It Shine back in January 2017.
According to Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, the revival of Gladiators has been a huge success, bringing families back to BBC One on Saturday nights.
Bradley and Barney’s energetic hosting, combined with the classic thrill of Gladiators and its challengers, keeps viewers throughout the UK hooked on the show.
I’m so excited about the new season! If you, like me, can’t wait for it to start, you can revisit all the amazing moments from seasons one and two – they’re both available on iPlayer right now.
Gladiators returns on Saturday 17th January at 5:45pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
