As a seasoned movie critic, I’ve had the pleasure of navigating the vibrant landscape of radio broadcasting for quite some time. Much like how a film director orchestrates a cinematic masterpiece, Steve Lamacq, a multi-talented DJ and journalist, has skillfully conducted his own narrative in the world of radio.

From 1993 to 1997, he shared the stage with Jo Whiley on Radio 1’s The Evening Session, much like two lead actors sharing scenes in a movie. But, just as a good film character doesn’t rest on their laurels, Lamacq didn’t either. He made a bold move, transitioning from Radio 1 to BBC Radio 6 Music, where he continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of wit, knowledge, and passion for music.
