As a passionate movie buff excitedly anticipating the next chapter of my television journey, I can’t help but share the thrilling news that Channel 4 has announced five fresh families gracing our screens as part of the Gogglebox family line-up for its upcoming 26th season! This milestone marks an incredible 13 years on air for this beloved program, and I simply cannot wait to see these new faces bring more heartwarming, relatable, and humorous commentary to our living rooms.
In addition to the established Gogglebox families such as Jenny and Lee, The Siddiquis, The Malones, Giles and Mary, Ellie and Izzi, and David and Shirley, the newcomers now form part of an extended list of frequent Gogglebox participants.
Additionally, making a comeback are the Plummers: Amira and Amani, the Worthingtons: Pete and Sophie, Abbie and Georgia, Sue and Steve, Simon and Jane, Ronnie and Annie, Danielle and Daniella, Teresa and Anita, Michael, as well as Sally, Jake, and Harry.
Mike Cotton, Creative Director at Studio Lambert expressed joy at inviting some fresh families into the Gogglebox community. Together with our cherished regular cast members, we eagerly look forward to spending time in their homes and gathering their genuine opinions about the week’s popular television shows.

Meet the new Gogglebox families
Jake and Calum
Friends Jake (27) and Calum (31) are from Glasgow.
The Gordon family
The Gordon family consists of Andre (49), Sarah (47) and their daughter Chee (25) from Surrey.
Andrew and Alfie
Married couple Andrew (62) and Alfie (32) are from The Cotswolds.
In the upcoming series, 87-year-old Sara, who is a mother and daughter-in-law from Yorkshire, along with Lara from the same region at 58 years old, will join alongside sisters Rosie (68) and Susie (70) from Edinburgh.
Gogglebox returns on Friday 5th September at 9pm on Channel 4.
