Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner’s New Girlfriend

Things are coming up roses for Gerry Turner

It’s been almost a year since the former star of “The Golden Bachelor” remarried, having divorced Theresa Nist, the contestant he married following the conclusion of the reality show.

Currently, Gerry is romantically involved with Lana, a retired teacher whom he connected with on Facebook. He shared this information with TMZ on April 24th. Interestingly, it was Lana who first reached out to the reality star, but Gerry initially chose not to respond to her message.

After Lana shared that we had a shared childhood in Indiana, just a 20-minute drive apart, I found myself compelled to reach out to her. We finally met for our first date last month, and since then, my newfound affection has settled comfortably among my children and me.

Previously married for just three months, Gerry, now 71, hinted at a new romantic involvement as early as this month. His previous separation from Theresa was confirmed last April.

Gerry revealed on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on April 15 that he is currently in a relationship. He added that things seem to be going well, but he doesn’t want to say too much for fear of jinxing it. He also mentioned that he’s being careful about how much he shares out of respect and trying to wait until there’s an appropriate amount of time since his divorce.

He added, “Perhaps it’s a somewhat outdated perspective, or perhaps it’s not as crucial as I believe, but in the interest of being considerate, I’d prefer to handle this gradually.

Gerry, who has two daughters – Jenny, aged 50, and Angie, 42, from his late spouse Toni Turner – has been cherishing each moment thoroughly.

He stated, “What makes it enjoyable for me is that we share a connection with our daughters, and she seems to understand mine just as well. We haven’t spent much time together yet, but our interactions have been delightful and enjoyable so far.

He’s even found himself stepping out of his comfort zone more and more, thanks to Lana.

In a casual setting, he expressed, “He suggested an activity, but before she could finish her question, I enthusiastically agreed.

What’s his current relationship with Theresa, given that they are no longer a couple? However, Gerry acknowledges that their separation was ultimately beneficial.

He clarified alongside his former spouse on Good Morning America in April 2024, “Theresa and I have had many deep, personal discussions. We’ve analyzed our circumstances, including our living situation, and we’ve collectively decided that it seems appropriate to end our marriage at this point.

In addition, Theresa mentioned, “We’ve been showered with affection and encouragement by countless viewers of The Golden Bachelor, and honestly, it’s hard to express how many people have shared with us that our show has brought them hope. We don’t want any of that positive impact to disappear for anyone.

On his first night at the Bachelor mansion, Grant Ellis might have encountered 25 prospective romantic partners, but it was Juliana Pasquarosa who ultimately received his final rose. As they prepare for their upcoming wedding, the bride-to-be shared her top priority for the special day.

In an interview with TopMob News last March 2025, I shared that regardless of the setting or appearance, it’s crucial for it to be filled with love and all our family members present. For us, it’s about creating cherished moments together, no matter the activity we engage in.

In a twist of fate, Joan Vassos, who gained recognition on the inaugural season of “The Golden Bachelor” and left Gerry Turner’s season prematurely, took over as the leading lady in the first installment of “The Golden Bachelorette”. It was during this run that she crossed paths with contestant Chock Chapple. Over time, their bond deepened, culminating in an engagement.

On the finale of “The Golden Bachelorette” in November 2024, Joan expressed her optimism about life, stating, “Even at our age, there is still hope for love.” This heartfelt declaration was followed by Chock’s proposal in the idyllic paradise of Bora Bora. With tears of joy in his eyes, he declared, “I have waited for this moment in this beautiful location to tell you that I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, waking up next to you every morning and kissing you goodnight.

In the season finale of The Bachelorette (season 21), it seemed like former Bachelor contestant Jenn Tran had found her perfect match in Devin Strader. However, during After the Final Rose in September, Jenn, aged 26, disclosed that Devin, aged 28, turned cold towards her once the cameras stopped rolling.

During the September 3rd show, Jenn explained to host Jesse Palmer that the man she was with had been expressing passionate declarations of love one day, only to disappear and deny any feelings of affection the next. She added that all the promises he made to her, all the love he claimed he wanted to share with her, seemed to vanish without a trace.

The events unfolded further as Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram, detailing his perspective and expressing accountability, while also explaining the reasons behind ending the relationship during a 15-minute conversation over the phone.

Instead of saying Jenn accused him of ending their relationship over the phone in August, let’s say she claimed that he chose to reveal he wanted to end things on a call when Jenn had asked about his well-being, and he was trying to figure out how to tell her in person instead.

He admitted that he was unsure of what other option he had left, adding that he had been holding back to share the news with her personally. In essence, she compelled him to act.

Ever since she graced the stage on Dancing With the Stars, I can’t help but feel a flutter in my heart whenever I think about Jenn and her dance partner Sasha Farber. The chemistry between them has been palpable since our elimination on Oct. 29, fueling whispers of romance that only seem to grow stronger with each passing day.

Back in November 2022, Greg Grippo, who was among Katie Thurston’s suitors on The Bachelorette the previous year, appeared alongside Victoria Fuller on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. During their time there, they declared that they were in a relationship. However, in April 2024, he disclosed that they had ended their relationship.

Prior to Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo announcing their relationship during the final episode of Bachelor in Paradise’s 8th season, Victoria Fuller had previously ended her engagement with her co-star Johnny DePhillipo.

Status: Divorced

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist became engaged in November 2023 during the finale of the first season of “Golden Bachelor,” and they officially married in a televised wedding ceremony in January 2024.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

During an interview on Good Morning America with Theresa in April 2024, Gerry stated, “Theresa and I have had many personal talks about our relationship and after careful consideration of our shared life, we believe it’s best for both of us to end our marriage amicably.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

In April 2025, Gerry shared during the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he had started seeing someone new and things were progressing positively.

As a devoted admirer, I’d put it this way:

After 32 attempts at finding the right one in the world of tennis, I, Joey Graziadei, finally found my ideal partner in Kelsey Anderson, a project manager. The moment I said to her, “I can’t wait another second to tell you that I love you,” during our season finale in March 2024, was the most eagerly anticipated instant of my life. Kelsey, your energy is contagious and it makes me smile in a way I never knew was possible before.

In my mind’s eye, I see us building a lifetime together, and I must confess, I didn’t truly understand how magnificent that life could be until I encountered you, a woman from Louisiana. You’ve shown me that the beautiful life I’ve always wanted is just a fraction of what our shared future can bring.

Despite not initially connecting during season nine of “Bachelor in Paradise”, underwater welder John Henry Spurlock and nurse Kat Izzo eventually took a chance on each other. During the show, John proposed with an Ascher cut Neil Lane diamond, expressing his feelings for Kat by saying she was everything he had been searching for. However, shortly after the finale aired, they announced that their career goals were not compatible and their paths would be diverging. They expressed gratitude for the love and support they received from family, friends, and “Bachelor Nation”.

Eliza Isichei, who has a past connection with Clayton Echard, agreed to Aaron Bryant’s oceanfront proposal despite her initial apprehensions about the engagement. The couple faced some challenges following their return from Mexico, leading to an official announcement of their split in the days that followed. In response, Eliza’s ex posted on Instagram expressing a sense of complex feelings and emphasizing that they were handling their separation amicably with positivity and mutual respect for each other.

In this rephrased version, the main points remain the same but are presented more casually and naturally:

Nurse Kylee Russell was disappointed when boyfriend Aven Jones didn’t propose during their romantic moments on The Bachelorette. However, she eventually agreed to his proposal made on Bachelor in Paradise, saying they needed to leave and make things work.

She decided to postpone her planned engagement gown, stating, “I had to do what felt right. Love is about taking risks.”

Two days after their finale aired in December 2023, Kylee announced on Instagram Stories that the relationship had ended due to multiple infidelities. Aven later apologized for his mistakes and the pain he caused Kylee.

Charity Lawson shared her excitement with TopMob News about the successful outcome of the season, but it was just a hint at the grand finale in August 2023. Integrative medicine specialist Dotun Olubeko declared their love as “perfect,” proposing to Charity, a child and family therapist, saying, “Would you make this fairy tale come true by marrying me?” Although they haven’t set a date yet, the couple is contemplating a wedding in 2025 or 2026. Before that, however, Charity will dance her way through the ballroom on Dancing With the Stars. On The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, Dotun told Charity, “I know you love to have fun, to dance, and to enjoy yourself. We’ve talked about this—about what a great opportunity it would be for you. And I am thrilled to tell you that you will be on Dancing With the Stars! Let’s do this!

Zach will have a joyful conclusion to his story. Despite some missteps during the Fantasy Suite, Zach Shallcross ended season 27 in March 2023 on one knee. “I am deeply in love with you,” he confessed to travel nurse Kaity Biggar. “You are my universe. The affection I feel for you surpasses anything I could have ever imagined.”

In July 2023, the Texas-based pair took another significant step in their relationship, with Kaity posting on Instagram, “Now officially living together.” They’re currently preparing for their October 2025 wedding vows.

The current state: Separated

Originally, it seemed like Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio from Bachelor Nation were destined to be a perfect couple. However, after a year of being together and moving from Nashville to Ohio, they have parted ways. Michael shared the news on Jason Tartick’s podcast in September 2023, explaining that both parties had invested a lot into their relationship, but it unfortunately didn’t work out. He went on to say that when relationships don’t succeed, and you realize that while love is present, compatibility isn’t, it feels like mourning not just the loss of that person and friend in your life, but also the future you had envisioned together.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way:

“I’ve found someone who I want to spend eternity with – my best friend, Serene Russell. In the seventh season of ‘Paradise’, I expressed my heartfelt feelings and asked her to embark on this journey together. However, fate had other plans for us. Despite our deep affection, we’ve decided to part ways, five months after our engagement aired. It’s not easy to accept or deal with the pain, but we ask that everyone shows understanding and kindness during this difficult time.”

The relationship between pilot Rachel and general contractor Tino Franco hit a roadblock when he was seen kissing another woman during their 2022 season, which was being broadcast. In an interview on “The Viall Files”, he admitted, “I have no defense for my actions at all. It was wrong, unfair to Rachel, and it continues to haunt me every day. I’m deeply ashamed of what I did and if given the chance, I would change it a million times over.

The story unfolded as follows: Susie Evans and Bachelor Clayton Echard had a falling out. During the 2022 finale, she initially turned down his proposals, but later reconnected with him off-camera. However, their relationship didn’t last long; they parted ways six months later. Yet, Susie, a videographer based in L.A., maintains that the split was necessary. In a November 2022 blog post titled “Susie Was Like,” she expressed that her happiness had waned and she wasn’t living up to her best self. She admitted that they enjoyed many happy moments, but deep down, she was grappling with issues and feeling out of sync with her ideal self.

After dating ‘Justin Glaze’, a contestant from Bachelor Nation, Susie later revealed that they had ended their relationship as well, in August 2024.

In a nutshell: The relationship between Michelle (Minnesota elementary school teacher) and Nayte Olukoya (Texas-based sales exec), who got a Neil Lane sparkler and $200,000 check from producers for their future home on their reality TV show, didn’t work out. Despite some positive moments, they had disagreements and misunderstandings that led to their breakup six months after the finale aired in December 2021. Nayte admitted that not having an in-person conversation about the split was unfair, calling it “a dick move.” Later, Michelle began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they announced their engagement the following year.

The duo from Bachelor in Paradise season seven, Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian, shared a vision of peaceful Sundays with their viewers. However, despite the strong connection, they could only spend a few dozen weekends together. In a joint statement issued in January 2022, their patient coordinator, Maurissa (who dated Peter Weber), and attorney Riley (one of Tayshia Adams’ suitors) announced that they have decided to part ways. They never expected this situation, but they found themselves at a point where they both needed to focus on personal growth.

Status: Split

On the sixth season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” television’s first same-sex couple became engaged, yet they declared their separation in October of 2019, specifically on Halloween.

In my own words, as an ardent admirer, I’d rephrase it like this: “From day one, our bond has been all about mutual love and nurturing. Our goal has always been to ensure our collective well-being. After much thought and with hearts overflowing with affection for each other, we’ve come to the conclusion that taking a break is what’s best for us at this moment. We aspire for the best in the long term, and for now, that means growing independently.” This statement was shared on Instagram by both of us.

Current Status: Engaged

In simpler terms, though Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer ended their relationship during the seventh season of ‘The Bachelor in Paradise’, they found that they could see an endless future in each other’s eyes. After initially settling in San Diego, they recently purchased a home in Tulsa, his hometown.

On Instagram in July 2023, Abigail announced excitedly, “Getting ready to enter our Chip and Joanna Gaines era because your girl just bought her very first house!!!” She added, “Can’t wait to start our next chapter and for all the memories we’ll create here!!” In anticipation of their move, Noah proposed at a beachfront home in San Diego in August 2023, setting the stage for wedding plans.

Status: Married

Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who gained fame from their respective stints on ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette’, decided to take the plunge earlier than expected. They chose to tie the knot in a City Hall ceremony near their New York City home, about a year after leaving ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ as an engaged couple.

Serena, who now co-hosts the ‘Bachelor Happy Hour’ podcast with her spouse, posted a video from their October 2022 wedding with the caption “JUST MARRIED!!”. They are still planning a bigger wedding in September, but who wouldn’t want to get married twice!

Status: Married

Kenny Braasch, the renowned boy band manager, expressed his deep affection for Mari Pepin as he placed a Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger during the finale of Paradise in 2021. “I am absolutely crazy about you,” Kenny declared, “and I honestly can’t imagine my life without you.”

Following this heartfelt moment, the Maryland beauty queen left her charms on Bachelor Matt behind and moved to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago. In preparation for their lifelong journey together, they began planning their forever.

Before exchanging vows in a beautiful oceanfront ceremony with 65 guests in Puerto Rico in November 2023, this adoring couple made their relationship permanent by getting matching tattoos during a romantic getaway to the Bahamas in May 2023.

Status: Married

Previously on Bachelor in Paradise season seven (2021), Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs, one of Katie Thurston’s suitors, started dating. They parted ways during the show but reconnected after production ended. In May 2022, they announced their engagement with Becca proposing to Thomas. “I hope this encourages others to feel empowered and break traditional norms,” she said in an interview with TopMob News. Later that October, Thomas reciprocated the sentiment. In September 2023, they welcomed their first child, a son named Benson. Becca shared on Instagram, “There are no words to express the love and admiration we have for our little man.” Just weeks after welcoming Benson, the couple decided to tie the knot in an impromptu ceremony held on October 13th of the same year.

Status: Split

In the final episode of “The Bachelorette” season 17 in 2021, Katie became engaged to Blake Moynes. Their love for each other was first expressed during their overnight date that included a paintball adventure, a cowboy bath, and a chat under the night sky.

Lowering himself onto a knee, Blake expressed to Katie, “You are worthy of the entire universe, and I am thrilled to assist you and stand by your side daily from hereon.

Three months following the broadcast of their proposal, the pair revealed their separation. In a coordinated statement, they expressed, “We appreciate the precious moments we experienced together and the entire year’s journey that unfolded, but we’ve determined that as life partners, we are not compatible. It is the kindest decision for us to progress individually.”

Now, she is set to wed comedian Jeff Arcuri.

Current Status: Separated
Since Matt and graphic designer Rachael Kirkconnell parted ways following their 2021 season (and later reconciled before splitting again), they have faced numerous breakup speculations.

As the former Bachelor confided to TopMob News during a July 18 Baskin-Robbins event, “I think everyone should take a break from social media. Our lives are so much in front of our screens that when someone isn’t constantly online, people assume it’s an apocalypse.”

However, Matt emphasized that marriage remains their ultimate goal.

“I think the positive aspect about our relationship is we move at our own pace,” the author of First Impressions: Off Screen Conversations With a Bachelor on Race, Family, and Forgiveness shared with TopMob News in May 2022. “And you’ve seen with other couples—they rush the engagement and they’re no longer together. So, I believe we have a successful formula and we’ll get there.”

Yet, less than three years later, Matt confirmed their separation on Instagram, writing, “Father God, give Rachael and me strength to heal our broken hearts.” “Grant us peace about this decision to end our relationship that surpasses human comprehension. Bestow kindness and love upon our friends and family to console us. And remind us that our happiness comes from you, Lord.”

Following her entry to take over Clare Crawley’s 2020 edition of The Bachelorette, Tayshia encountered and developed feelings for Zac Clark. Despite leaving their season with an engagement, the ex-lead and now co-host subsequently disclosed that their relationship had its fair share of highs and lows.

Being in a new relationship and then disappearing for a while can be challenging, right?” she candidly shared on the ‘Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous’ podcast in August 2021.

After that incident, it seemed to me that we should recall why we were together in the first place. I believe this is quite typical. However, as reported by TopMob News in November 2021, they parted ways since then.

Status: Split

During season 16 of “The Bachelorette”, Clare became deeply infatuated with Dale Moss. By the fourth episode, they had even become engaged. However, surprises continued as Tayshia found her own fiancé weeks later. Interestingly, Dale announced on social media that his relationship with the hairdresser had ended before this development.

Approximately a month later, whispers of reconciliation swirled when they were seen together again. Jumping ahead to July 2021, following numerous reunions, Clare and Dale were solidly back on – complete with a ring. However, in September, they parted ways once more. Today, Clare is happily wedded to Ryan Dawkins and anticipates the arrival of their first daughter together.

Following a short engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss and later separation from Madison Prewett, fans had high hopes for Peter’s third attempt at love. Unfortunately, his relationship with Kelley Flanagan, the star of The Bachelor season 24, didn’t work out as planned. Peter announced on New Year’s Eve in 2020 that their nine-month romance had ended.

Although our bond held many cherished moments, unfortunately, it didn’t last, as we discovered. Regardless, Kelley remains someone I hold a profound affection towards.” (Pete’s post on Instagram)

In 2022, they made another attempt at flying again, but by May of this year, they disclosed that their relationship had come to an end.

Status: Split

After the intense conclusion of 2020, the couple shared on Instagram that they wouldn’t continue their romantic involvement. Peter stated, “Madi and I have decided, after much discussion, not to carry on our relationship further.” Despite the difficulty, we both accepted this as the best course for us. Our affection and regard for one another will persist.

In her statement, Madi expressed, “I’ll continue to cherish and honor him. I firmly believe that our lives intersecting was destined, and it has undeniably improved us both.

Status: Split

During The Bachelor’s 24th season, Peter and Hannah Ann had a brief engagement. Regrettably, by the second part of the finale, it became apparent that they were facing challenges just a month into their exclusive relationship. More precisely, Hannah Ann was taken aback when she learned about Peter still harboring feelings for Madison.

She conveyed, “All along, all I desired was for someone to offer their entire affection as I am doing with them. Yet, you ended my first engagement.” Pausing, she added, “You took that from me. That’s what you keep asking of me – trust and patience. Trust and have faith in me.
