Distance makes the heart grow fonder.
It seems the saying ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ applies to Joan Vassos, the star of *The Golden Bachelorette*, and her fiancé, Chock Chapple. They’ve been kept apart recently due to their busy lives and commitments.
Chock shared with TopMob News that his partner is working on a secret project, which is why they haven’t seen each other in almost a month. He hinted that things are likely to change soon, and they’re looking forward to reuniting, as they miss each other.
Fortunately, they’ve agreed on a way to stay connected. He explained that he and Joan decided to talk daily after their time in the fantasy suites, and they actually speak at least twice a day, which he says is wonderful.
It’s been amazing watching Joan and I navigate our first year together since *The Golden Bachelorette* aired – things have honestly been fantastic! But honestly, our lives have been a bit of a whirlwind. We haven’t really had a chance to settle into a normal routine, you know, where we’re just living life and seeing each other whenever we can, because we’re constantly together in the same town.
Instead, the 62-year-old added, “We’ve made a commitment to see each other every other week.”
Fortunately, things have been going well for them, despite Joan’s recent busy schedule which has kept them separated. They’re already looking forward to future time together, like the holidays in New York City and a trip to Europe with friends.
In the meantime, the pair are happily making the distance work.
Chock believes the key to staying connected is simply making time to talk. He and his wife have been chatting for 30 minutes to an hour each day, which he finds really enjoyable. Even though she’s busy with the grandkids, they make it a priority to connect, and he misses their morning conversations when they don’t happen.

Chock, the new spokesperson for Inspire therapy-a sleep apnea treatment he personally believes in because it’s helped him-is hoping a month-long trip to New York in December will help him and his wife, Joan, 62, find a place to live in the city.
Chock shared that they’ve explored all parts of New York City. Joan especially enjoyed Soho when they first visited. However, they struggled to find a suitable place for both their families. Over time, their preferences have diverged – he leans towards the West Side, while she prefers Midtown, and they’ve also considered the East Side.
Buying a home is a big decision, and it’s important to find a place you both love and that suits how you live, especially if you have options beyond just affordability.
In the meantime, the pair are happily making the distance work.
Chock believes the key to staying connected is simply making time to talk. He and his wife now have more in-depth conversations than when they were physically together, despite her busy schedule with the grandkids. They speak for 30 minutes to an hour each day, and he genuinely enjoys these daily chats, even missing them when they don’t happen.

As someone who keeps a close eye on the Bachelor Nation, let me tell you, Spencer Conley definitely found something special on *Bachelor in Paradise*! You might remember Spencer – he really charmed Jenn Tran on *The Bachelorette* with his genuinely sweet personality. Well, he and Jess Edwards (who gave Joey Graziadei a shot earlier) seemed to hit it off on the show, and he shared a cute little update on Instagram back in August. He posted a glimpse of them together, hinting they were falling for each other – which, in *Bachelor* terms, means things are getting serious but they’re not quite ready to say ‘I love you’ just yet! He playfully declared he’d ‘already won,’ and honestly, it’s adorable to see!
Jess echoed the sentiment, posting online that she was feeling happy about Spencer. The couple chose their relationship over a $250,000 prize, and were thrilled to get engaged and receive an unexpected check for $190,000. Jess shared that everything they’d experienced together had brought them to this special moment. She’s now planning to move to Dallas to be with Spencer, as announced by the show.

Bailey Taylor Brown shared on Instagram in August 2025 that her date with Jeremy Simon was the best first date she’d ever had, following their time on season 10 of *Paradise*. But could it also be their last? Bailey, who originally competed for Grant Ellis’ affection, and Jeremy, who almost won over Jenn on *The Bachelorette*, managed to work through a major disagreement when Bailey discovered Jeremy had hesitated about sending Susie Evans home.
Despite the drama, their connection grew stronger in Costa Rica. Although they didn’t make it to the end of *Bachelor in Paradise*, they continued dating after the show. They’ve already met each other’s families and are even planning to move to the same city, according to the show.
Status: Dating
It looks like things are still going strong between *Paradise* season 10 contestants Andrew Spencer (from Katie Thurston’s season) and Alexe Godin (from Grant’s season). Just six days after Andrew publicly called Alexe his “love” on Instagram in August 2025, she reciprocated, calling him her “sweetheart” in a post of her own.
Although they chose love over the $250,000 prize on the *Bachelor in Paradise* finale, they each still received $125,000.
“This is incredible,” Alexe exclaimed. “I’m leaving with money, but more importantly, with love.”
The show then revealed that Alexe plans to move to Chicago with Andrew, bringing their relationship to the Windy City.

Kat and Dale faced a difficult situation during the *Bachelor in Paradise* finale when Sean McLaughlin claimed Kat had been secretly communicating with an ex-boyfriend through letters and a laptop. Kat, however, denied contacting him while on the show. She explained that she and her ex had still been in contact before coming on the show, as she hadn’t expected to find a new relationship. Although Kat and Dale didn’t make it to the final rose ceremony, their connection continued to grow. After the show, they traveled the U.S. together and started making plans for a future together, including potentially moving closer to each other.
Dale wrote under Kat’s August 2025 Instagram post that things were difficult at times, but they got through it together, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Status: Just friends—for now
After leaving season 10 of *Bachelor in Paradise*, Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima (who was a finalist on *Golden Bachelor*) seemed to have a promising future together, even sharing a video about creating new memories. However, Leslie, who once inspired musician Prince, isn’t certain she wants to pursue a romantic relationship with Gary.
She shared that she and Gary talk constantly. Appearing on *Bachelor Happy Hour* in August 2025, she described him as one of her closest friends, someone she turns to when she needs advice or support. They’re always there for each other and have a strong, supportive relationship.
Despite the long distance – she lives in Minnesota and he’s in California – she’s still optimistic. She explained that, for her, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a strong friendship first. She wants to grow old with someone she considers her best friend.
Status: Just friends
Kim Buike, a frontrunner on *Golden Bachelorette*, connected with Faith Martin, who received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner. Although they didn’t find lasting love on season 10 of *Paradise*, they continued to date after the show. Faith shared on Instagram in August 2025 that Kim had visited her in Washington for a hometown date. Ultimately, they decided they were better suited as friends. In a September 2025 Instagram video, Faith explained they talk a few times a week despite living far apart, but confirmed they never fell in love, despite having a strong connection on the show.
Grant met twenty-five women when he started filming *The Bachelor*, but he ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa. Unfortunately, the couple broke up less than three months after their proposal was shown on television.
Grant announced on Instagram on June 13th that he and Juliana have decided to break up. He explained that they both tried their best and cared deeply for each other, but after careful consideration, they realized they weren’t compatible for the future.
Joan Vassos, who was a contestant on *The Golden Bachelor* and later became the first *Golden Bachelorette*, is engaged! After appearing on Gerry Turner’s season and choosing to leave early, Joan found love while hosting *The Golden Bachelorette* and accepted a proposal from Chock Chapple.
During the November 2024 finale of *The Golden Bachelorette*, Joan shared a hopeful message: ‘We’re proof that even later in life, there’s always hope.’ Just before Chock proposed in Bora Bora, she told him, ‘I’ve waited for this moment, in this beautiful place, to tell you that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you-waking up with you every morning and kissing you goodnight.’
During the finale of *The Bachelorette* season 21, it seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on *The Bachelor*, had found love with her final choice, Devin Strader. However, Jenn shared during the *After the Final Rose* episode in September 2024 that Devin quickly became distant once filming ended.
Jenn explained to Jesse Palmer that he had strongly declared his love for her, but the very next day acted as if those feelings never existed. She said all the promises and affection he’d expressed had completely disappeared.
The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective. In the video, he took responsibility for his actions and detailed the reasons behind their breakup, which he had initially discussed during a 15-minute phone call.
Jenn said he ended their relationship over the phone in August, but he insists she pressed him for answers while he was trying to tell her in person.
He said he’d been wanting to tell her face-to-face, but she pushed him to reveal it sooner than he’d planned. He felt like he didn’t have a choice.
Jenn then met Sasha Farber while competing on *Dancing With the Stars*, and the two became a couple. They continued dancing together even after being eliminated from the show in October 2024, but eventually broke up in 2025.
Greg Grippo, who was a contestant on Katie Thurston’s season of *The Bachelorette*, started dating Victoria Fuller from *Bachelor in Paradise* in November 2022. They announced their relationship on the season eight finale of *Bachelor in Paradise*, but Greg shared in April 2024 that they had broken up.
Okay, so, can we talk about Victoria and Greg?! Before they finally admitted they were together on the *Bachelor in Paradise* finale – which, honestly, I was *waiting* for – Victoria actually broke up with Johnny! I mean, she and Johnny were engaged, and then *poof*, it was over before she and Greg could officially be a thing. It was all so dramatic, but I’m just glad Victoria found someone she really connects with!
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Gerry and Theresa, my absolute favorite couple, got engaged on the very first *Golden Bachelor* finale in November 2023! It was the most beautiful thing ever. And then, just a couple of months later, in January 2024, they actually GOT MARRIED! It was a whole televised ceremony, and I watched every single second. They are seriously couple goals, even though, sadly, they’ve since divorced. Still, I’ll always cherish the magic of their beginning!
However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.
Gerry and Theresa have been having open and honest talks about their relationship and living arrangements. In an appearance on *Good Morning America* in April 2024, they announced they’ve mutually decided to get a divorce.
They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.
In April 2025, Gerry shared on the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast that he had started dating someone and things were progressing nicely.
Tennis star Joey has found love! After dating 32 women, he proposed to project manager Kelsey Anderson during the March 2024 season finale. He told Kelsey, “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” and shared that her energy makes him incredibly happy – something he’s never felt before. Joey also expressed that meeting Kelsey showed him just how wonderful his life could be, and he’s excited to build a future with her.
John Henry Spurlock, who competed for Charity Lawson’s affection, and Kat Izzo, a contestant from Zach Shallcross’ season, found a connection on *Bachelor in Paradise*, but their romance didn’t last. John Henry proposed with a Neil Lane diamond, telling Kat she was everything he was looking for. However, shortly after the show aired, they announced their split. In a joint statement on Instagram, they explained that their different career goals led them to realize they weren’t a good long-term match, but they appreciated the support they received from family, friends, and fans.
Eliza Isichei, who previously dated Clayton Echard, is engaged! Despite initial nervousness about finding love again after *Paradise*, she happily said yes to a proposal from Aaron Bryant at a beautiful oceanfront location. She was especially touched that Aaron asked her mother for her blessing before proposing.
However, their engagement didn’t last. Shortly after the show aired, Eliza and Aaron announced they were ending things. They shared that while it was difficult to watch their journey unfold on TV, they were committed to separating amicably with positivity and respect for each other. They made the announcement on Instagram in December 2023.
Despite initially wishing boyfriend Aven Jones had proposed more traditionally-something he seemed willing to do on *The Bachelorette* with Rachel Recchia-Kylee Russell accepted his proposal to try and make their relationship work after *Paradise*. Though she’d already picked out an engagement dress, she felt it was the right decision, believing love requires taking chances. However, just two days after the show aired in December 2023, Kylee announced on social media that the relationship had ended due to Aven’s infidelity. Aven later apologized, admitting he’d made serious mistakes and hurt Kylee.
Charity Lawson is thrilled with how her season of *The Bachelorette* ended! She hinted to TopMob News, “I am happy with how this season turns out!”-a statement that didn’t fully capture the excitement of the August 2023 finale. In a romantic moment, Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, getting down on one knee and declaring their love was “perfect.” He then asked, “Would you do me the honor of turning this fairytale into a reality?”
Though they’re planning a wedding-possibly in 2025 or 2026-Charity will first be hitting the dance floor on *Dancing With the Stars*. Dotun surprised her with the news on *The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose*, saying, “I know you like to cut up, you like to dance and you like to get down…and I am so happy to be the one to tell you that you’re gonna be on *Dancing With the Stars*! Let’s go!”
Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar are happily married! Despite some challenges during the Fantasy Suites portion of season 27, Zach proposed to Kaity in March 2023, telling her, “I am so in love with you,” and declaring she was his world. In July 2023, the couple, who are based in Texas, announced they had taken their relationship a step further by becoming roommates.
Kaity and her partner got married on May 23, 2025, in a small, intimate chapel ceremony. They had originally planned a bigger wedding, but Kaity realized it wasn’t necessary. As she explained on the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast in June 2025, she wanted to focus on what truly mattered: their love and connection. She felt she was getting too caught up in the minor details and wanted to keep the celebration centered on their relationship.
However, one thing really impressed her: the aunt who signed her up to compete for Zach’s affection also discovered the beautiful chapel near Austin where they had their wedding. Kaity explained, “It was exactly what we wanted.”
Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who seemed like a promising couple after meeting on *Bachelor in Paradise*, have broken up. Despite Danielle moving to Ohio to be with Michael and his son James, they decided to go their separate ways a year later. Michael explained on a podcast that while they cared for each other, they weren’t compatible in the long term, and he was grieving the loss of both the relationship and the future they’d imagined together. Both Danielle and Michael have experienced loss in the past – Danielle lost her fiancé to a drug overdose, and Michael’s wife passed away, leaving him to raise James as a single father.
Brandon Jones proposed to Serene Russell on season seven of *Paradise*, telling her he would love her forever. However, their relationship didn’t last. Just five months after getting engaged on the show, the couple announced their split in May 2023. In a joint statement on Instagram, they explained that trying to work through their issues privately had been very difficult with so much public attention. They shared that the breakup was painful for both of them, despite their love for each other, and asked for understanding and kindness.
Pilot Rachel and contractor Tino Franco ended their engagement after he kissed someone else while their season of the show was still being broadcast. Tino later admitted on the podcast *The Viall Files* that he deeply regrets his actions. He said he feels ashamed and wishes he could have handled the situation differently, adding that it continues to bother him to this day.
Susie Evans and Clayton Echard’s relationship, which began on season 26 of *The Bachelor*, had a complicated journey. After Susie initially turned Clayton down during the finale, they briefly reconnected, but ultimately split six months later. Susie, a videographer from Los Angeles, has explained that the breakup was necessary for her own well-being. In a November 2022 blog post, she shared that she wasn’t thriving in the relationship and felt disconnected from her true self, despite having some happy times together.
Susie then began dating Justin Glaze from Bachelor Nation, but they ended their relationship in August 2024.
Michelle, an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, accepted a proposal from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, on a reality TV show and received a $200,000 check towards a future home. However, the couple ultimately decided they weren’t a good match and broke up six months after the show’s finale in December 2021. Nayte later admitted on a podcast that their relationship had many disagreements and that ending things without an in-person conversation was a mistake. Michelle later began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they became engaged the following year, marrying in Minnesota in June 2025.
Fans were really hoping to see Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian build a future together, picturing cozy Sunday mornings as a couple. However, the *Bachelor in Paradise* season seven pair only lasted a few months. In a joint statement released in January 2022, Maurissa (who previously dated Peter Weber) and Riley (a former suitor on Tayshia Adams’ season) announced they were breaking up. They explained that they both needed to focus on personal growth and hadn’t expected to go their separate ways.
Status: Split
As a lifestyle expert, I remember when *Bachelor in Paradise* made history with its first same-sex couple getting engaged on season six! Sadly, they announced their breakup on Halloween in 2019 – it was definitely a memorable, though bittersweet, moment for Bachelor Nation.
We’ve always deeply loved and cared for each other, and making the best decision for both of us has always been our priority. With love and sadness, we’ve decided to take a break and focus on ourselves. We believe this is the best path forward for our individual growth and well-being, and ultimately what’s best for us right now.
Despite a breakup during season seven of *Bachelor in Paradise*, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer realized they were meant to be together. The couple, who first competed for the hearts of Tayshia Adams and Matt James respectively, initially lived in San Diego before recently buying a house in Noah’s hometown of Tulsa. Abigail announced the exciting news on Instagram in July 2023, saying they were entering their “Chip and Joanna Gaines era!” Noah proposed to Abigail in San Diego in August 2023, and they’re now planning their wedding and looking forward to building a life together in Tulsa.
Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who first gained attention on *The Bachelor* and *Bachelor in Paradise*, surprised everyone by getting legally married in October 2022. The couple, who got engaged after leaving *Paradise* in 2021, decided to have a quick ceremony at City Hall near their home in New York City. They’re still planning a larger wedding celebration for September 2023, but Serena joked that who wouldn’t want to get married twice? Serena now co-hosts the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast with Joe.
Kenny Braasch proposed to Mari Pepin with a Neil Lane diamond ring during the 2021 finale of *Paradise*, telling her, “I am so in love with you and can’t imagine my life without you.” Mari, a beauty queen from Maryland who first appeared on *The Bachelor*, moved to Chicago to be with Kenny and they began planning their future together. Before their November 2023 wedding – a 65-person oceanfront ceremony in Puerto Rico – the couple cemented their bond with matching tattoos during a May 2023 trip to the Bahamas. Kenny was previously eliminated from *Paradise* by Tayshia Adams in week five.
Status: Married
Becca Kufrin, who starred on *The Bachelorette*, and Thomas Jacobs, a contestant from Katie Thurston’s season, found love on season seven of *Bachelor in Paradise* in 2021. They had a rocky start, briefly breaking up during filming before getting back together after the show ended.
In May 2022, they announced their engagement, revealing that Becca had taken the lead and proposed. She told TopMob News that she hoped their decision would inspire others to break tradition. Thomas returned the gesture by proposing to her in October of the same year.
In September 2023, they welcomed their first child, a son named Benson, with Becca sharing on Instagram that no words could express how much love they felt. Just weeks later, on October 13th, the couple had a surprise wedding ceremony.
Status: Split
In the 2021 finale of *The Bachelorette*, Katie got engaged to Blake Moynes. They first connected and admitted their feelings for each other during a memorable date that included paintball, a relaxing soak in a cowboy tub, and a heartfelt conversation under the stars.
Blake proposed to Katie by getting down on one knee and telling her he wanted to support her dreams and be with her always. He said she deserved everything good in life.
Just three months after getting engaged, the couple announced they were breaking up. In a joint statement, they said they cherished the time they spent together this past year, but realized they weren’t meant to be long-term partners and that going their separate ways was the kindest thing to do. She has since married comedian Jeff Arcuri.
