Good Omens executive producer Josh Cole has shared a promising update on the show’s finale episode.
The David Tennant and Michael Sheen show is set to conclude in a single 90-minute episode, and post-production on this installment is nearly complete. As per Deadline, it’s anticipated that we might get a release date for the final episode sometime next year.
Cole expressed his pride to the media source, acknowledging that every team member put in a great effort under challenging conditions during the production of season 3.
Understanding how significant Good Omens is to its fanbase truly fueled our efforts, and the ending was especially crafted with them in mind.
TopMob has contacted Prime Video for comment.
It’s been reported that Neil Gaiman, a co-author of “Good Omens,” stepped away from the TV series following allegations of sexual assault, which he firmly denies. Although he played a part in scripting the final episode, he did not participate in the production process and his company, Blank Corporation, had no involvement in it.

Nine women have publicly voiced allegations against the writer, as reported in an article by Vulture in January 2025 and a podcast by Tortoise Media in July 2024.
It’s been alleged that the author participated in sexual activities involving roughness and BDSM without the other party’s agreement. However, the novelist has unequivocally refuted any claims of non-consensual or unlawful behavior in a public statement.
Upon perusing the most recent assembly of narratives, there are instances where I vaguely recall similar occurrences, as well as incidents that I have no recollection of, accounts of events adjacent to those that undeniably never took place.
While I’m certainly not flawless, rest assured that I’ve never been involved in any form of sexual activity without consent. That’s something I’ve always strictly adhered to.

Sheen previously seemed uncertain about whether fans would get to see the finale episode.
In a conversation with The Times, he expressed, “To be honest, I’m unsure about its future. Both Sheen and Tennant felt a sense of relief in wrapping up the tale, but it was all set against a backdrop of great difficulty, complexity, and discomfort.
“I hope people get to see it, but that, to a large extent, is out of our hands.”
As a passionate film enthusiast, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I learned that we are set to revisit “Good Omens” for its finale! In a previous chat on The Assembly, I shared that our talented team is gearing up for another round, this time focusing on wrapping things up. There’s been a bit of a shakeup behind the scenes, but rest assured, the magic of “Good Omens” remains intact!
However, it’s relieving that we can continue the narrative, one I believe would’ve been challenging to end on a cliffhanger. I’m pleased we’ve found a way to resolve this.
