Phoenixx Publishing and Bandai Namco Studios’ GYAAR Studio have revealed GooNECT√2, the follow-up to the Japanese game Goonect, which focuses on two-player cooperative gameplay. The game will be available worldwide on Nintendo Switch in May.
Bandai Namco Studios announced they’re releasing GooNECT√2 worldwide. The original Goonect was a hit in Japan, and they’re hoping players around the globe will enjoy the unique experience of shared gameplay with a friend. GooNECT√2 builds on the original with new features, while still emphasizing fun and building connections with others.
Here is an overview of the game, via Phoenixx:
Embark on a fun adventure in a colorful 3D world! This game is designed for two players who must stay connected the whole time to win. Team up with a friend on the couch for a classic co-op experience, or connect online to tackle endless, randomly created levels with eight different difficulty settings.
Test your skills with bendy, stretchy arms as you navigate tricky platforms and avoid obstacles that could separate you from your partner! If you let go of each other’s hands, the game ends. Work together to overcome huge wooden blocks, giant basketballs, and strong winds by pulling, launching, or even using each other to reach new heights.
You can play with a friend, working together to reach the goal, or play by yourself and control both characters. At the end of each level, you’ll earn a Bond Level rank based on how quickly you finish, how many times you restart, and how many hearts you collect.
