Gossip Girl’s Margaret Colin Details “Wild” Reunion With Blake Lively

Margaret Colin, known for her role as Blair Waldorf’s mother on Gossip Girl, recently had a surprising and unplanned reunion with Blake Lively. She described the encounter as “really wild.”

I unexpectedly bumped into Blake while I was out and about, which was really funny considering how famous she is now,” the 67-year-old shared with Us Weekly in a recent interview. “We had a big hug right there on the street in New York – she was just grabbing a quick lunch at a cafe.

To add to the surprise, Margaret had just recently returned to New York City.

She mentioned it happened a couple of months ago, shortly after she returned from filming in Vancouver. She then added, with surprise, “What are the chances?”

Margaret also shared what they talked about, saying the woman seemed like a very happy and well-adjusted mother.

Blake has reconnected with more than one of her former Gossip Girl co-stars since the show finished airing in 2012 after six seasons.

Margaret recently mentioned hanging out with Leighton Meester, who famously played Blair, not long after Leighton and her husband, Adam Brody, had their daughter, Arlo, in 2015.

The actress, known as the ‘First Daughter,’ remembered meeting the baby and her husband years ago, back when they only had one child.

Since then, Leighton and Adam have reached several more relationship milestones, such as having their son in 2020, who is now five years old, and both appearing on the hit Netflix show Nobody Wants This.

Even though Margaret doesn’t get to see her television daughter as much these days, she’s glad to see her succeeding from afar.

Margaret said Leighton looked fantastic and that she felt fortunate to have worked with her so often, describing her as a wonderful person.
