Grammys 2026: The Nominations Are Finally Here

These Grammy nominations are hitting all the right notes.

The Recording Academy announced the nominees for its 2026 awards show, taking place on February 1st. The list includes both established artists and rising stars, all hoping to win the coveted Grammy Award.

As the nominations are announced on November 7th, several artists are predicted to receive a lot of recognition. These include Sabrina Carpenter for her album Manchild, Kendrick Lamar for GNX, Lady Gaga for Mayhem, and Bad Bunny, who will be performing at the Super Bowl, for DeBí TiRaR MáS FOTos.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m keeping a close eye on the awards season, and it’s looking like several artists are strong contenders – we’re talking potential nominations in the top three categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. It’s exciting to see so much talent in the running!

Grammy predictions highlighted several promising artists for Best New Artist, including Role Model, Olivia Dean, Lola Yung, Megan Moroney, and Yungblud.

Fans predicted several songs would be nominated for defining the past year, including Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True,” Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” Bad Bunny’s “Baile Inolvidable,” and Sabrina’s “Manchild.”

And then there was the hit movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Its soundtrack, featuring songs like “Golden” and “Your Idol,” became incredibly popular and even put the film in contention for a Grammy Award.

The 2026 award show is expanding its categories this year with two new additions: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover.

The Recording Academy says these changes were inspired by suggestions from its members and reflect the organization’s dedication to staying current with the music industry.

According to Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., the recent changes will allow the Academy to recognize a wider range of artists and contributors. He emphasized that these updates are crucial for ensuring that everyone who significantly impacts music receives the recognition they deserve, especially on the night of the Grammy Awards.

But as for whether the predictions for the award show were accurate? It’s time to find out.
