Gran Turismo 7’s Biggest Update Yet Available to Pre-Load on PS5, PS4 Now

Here’s the latest update: Gran Turismo 7 will receive both the Spec 3 update and the paid Power Pack DLC within the next 24 hours. You can download the free update patch now – it’s 15GB on PlayStation 5 and 9GB on PlayStation 4. Please note that the game servers will be down for two hours tomorrow before the new content is released.

Polyphony Digital is releasing a big update for Gran Turismo 7 on both PS5 and PS4 this week. The free ‘Spec III’ update will arrive alongside the ‘Power Pack,’ which is the game’s first downloadable content you’ll need to purchase.

The first downloadable content for the racing game, called the Power Pack, will be available on December 4th. Shortly after, series creator Kaz Yamauchi announced on Twitter that the GT7 Spec III update is arriving next week, following a post made over the weekend.

Gran Turismo 7 updates usually come out on Wednesdays or Thursdays, depending on where you are located.

The free Spec III update adds the following to Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 and PS4:

  • Two new tracks (Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve)
  • Eight new cars
  • Dunlop tires
  • Data Logger
  • Collector Level cap increased
  • Unlimited car invitations in Brand Central
  • Enhanced Weekly Challenges
  • New opening movie
  • New Menu Book Seasonal Menu
  • New events in Circuit Experience
  • New Curations in Scapes
  • Improvements to online races

The Power Pack DLC is coming to PlayStation 5 only, and its price hasn’t been announced yet. This large update adds 50 new races to the game, with some endurance races lasting up to a full 24 hours.
