Sony recently announced that the Gran Turismo series has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, making it one of their biggest and most successful game franchises.
To mark this special occasion, the creators of Gran Turismo 7, Polyphony Digital, have revealed some upcoming features. A large, free update called Spec III is scheduled to launch in December.
A special downloadable content pack, called the Power Pack, will be released alongside the update.
Okay, so they just announced another perk, but it’s a bit of a bummer. It’s not for us longtime fans – it’s only for people who are buying in now. It feels a little strange that they’re focusing on new customers instead of showing appreciation for those of us who’ve been here all along.
Good news for Gran Turismo 7 players! Both versions of the game now include a free pack of in-game credits, as shared on the game’s social media channels.
The standard edition includes 750,000 Credits, but the Digital Deluxe edition gives you 2 million Credits.
It’s not a huge amount of in-game currency, but it’s enough to help new players get started in the racing simulator.
Although this offer primarily applies to new players, existing fans are upset, wondering why they aren’t receiving the promised free Credits for supporting the game when it first came out.
It would be great if fans received a small reward, like extra Credits.
It’s not a major concern, honestly. If you’re a dedicated GT player, your Credit total likely isn’t something you need to stress about.
