The Power Pack expansion for Gran Turismo 7 comes out on PS5 tomorrow, along with the free Spec 3 update. It costs $29.99 and includes five million in-game credits when you buy it. You can see everything that’s new in the trailer linked above.
Okay, so the game just added a seriously cool new mode to the main menu! It’s basically a huge collection of races – like 50 different events spread across 20 categories – that celebrate the history of cars and racing. Each event has a full structure – you’ll practice, qualify, and then race. The best part? You’ll be racing against GT Sophy 3.0 for all your opponents. It’s a really immersive way to experience racing history, and Sophy makes the competition super challenging!
Okay, so the Power Pack really changes things up! Now we get full race sessions, just like in real motorsports. It’s awesome – you start with practice to get comfortable with the car and the track, then lay down a fast lap in qualifying. After that, it’s the main race! Every position matters, so you really have to battle for every spot. But here’s the kicker: once the race starts, there are no retries! It’s a total commitment, pure racing, and you gotta push hard because there’s no second chance to fix mistakes. It’s intense!
We’re introducing new events happening worldwide for all car types, including long-lasting endurance races up to 24 hours long. You’ll earn Stars based on how well you do in each event – your final position determines how many you get. You can then use these Stars to unlock rewards, like six exclusive cars. Here’s what’s available:
- Ford Mustang 2015 American Racer
- Nissan Skyline GT-R GP-Tuned (KPGC10)
- Porsche 911 Turbo Rally (930)
- Toyota AE86 Levin D-Tuned
- Toyota Supra GT (JZA80)
- Volkswagen Beetle 1966 Desert Racer
The Power Pack comes out tomorrow, December 4th, and all PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners will also receive a free update (Spec 3). You can download the Power Pack now to get it ready for tomorrow, and it includes extra content and improvements, such as two new race tracks.
