Greg Davies offers insights into the anticipated features of the 20th season of Taskmaster, as the popular humor-based competition show makes its comeback on television.
This upcoming series, airing on Channel 4 starting from this week, brings back Dave Davies as host along with his sidekick “Little” Alex Horne. The task at hand for these five fresh comedy talents is to capture the Taskmaster’s attention and win the coveted golden trophy by showcasing their comedic skills.
He stated, “This team is extraordinary – they consistently challenge assumptions that everyone else shares. Those you might assume to be intelligent often fall short, and those thought capable in physical tasks may disappoint. It’s incredibly intriguing.

The roster for season 20 was finalized earlier this year, featuring Reece Shearsmith from Inside No. 9 and Sanjeev Bhaskar from Unforgotten.
In addition, Maisie Adam, Ania Magliano, and Phil Ellis join the cast to make up the whole group.
Although the series has completed 20 seasons so far, Horne has shared some exciting updates about the upcoming 21st season, with a significant portion of it already having been recorded.
He informed TopMob about season 21: “Two things are novel this time around. We’re shooting in a unique location, along with the house – a place that’s quite eccentric.
This series features a unique visitor from an exotically charming location, someone you might already be familiar with. Unfortunately, that’s as much information as I can share for now.
Taskmaster airs Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
