In simple terms, the game titled Grit and Valor 1949, a dieselpunk real-time strategy roguelike developed by Milky Tea and Megabit, is set to launch on various platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the Epic Games Store on August 21. If you’re already a PC gamer, you can play it now as it’s currently available on Steam.
In an alternate reality during World War II, the year is 1949. In the game “Grit and Valor,” you take on the role of a squad leader for a group of resistance pilots operating mechs, as they battle against the formidable forces of the Evil Axis.
To mark the release of their console and VR versions, Milky Tea has partnered with nDreams to introduce a fresh VR adaptation. This spin-off places players right in the heat of battle for an engaging tactical adventure. PC and PlayStation 5 users can enjoy it free of charge, while it will also be available as a separate purchase on the Meta Quest Store.
Kevin Campbell, Producer at Milky Tea, stated that Grit and Valor 1949 is intended to provide a gaming experience similar to using tabletop miniatures. With the addition of VR by nDreams, this immersive playstyle has been further enhanced for an even more captivating experience.
